What a crappy decade for mainstream music. Though to be fair I only know 10 of those songs listed. Crazy at #1? Really?

Yeah that didn't make any sense. I also knew only 10-15 of those.

Was 3DD's Kryptonite released before 2000? And Coldplay's Clocks?

You guys only know about 10 of those? Hmmmm I knew about 75% of them, and im not really a fan of rap, hip hop, etc.

When it comes to music there is much to be disputed. Crazy shouldnt have been at #1 tho.

Re: Spinner: Top 50 songs of the 2000s

'I Predict a Riot,' Kaiser Chiefs
'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor,' Arctic Monkeys
'Don't Know Why,' Norah Jones
'The Bucket,' Kings of Leon
'New Slang,' The Shins
'Maps,' Yeah Yeah Yeahs
'Feel Good Inc.,' Gorillaz
'Lose Yourself,' Eminem
'Hey Ya!,' Outkast
'American Idiot,' Green Day
'Crazy,' Gnarls Barkley

Ok 11. Forgot I used to listen to Kings of Leon. Haven't listened to the radio in 10 years and only TV I watch are the shows I download. Surprised I know this many.

A top 50 song lists without youtube links? Are you fucking kidding me, what type of assclown website is this? This is 2009, not 1998.

That's what I was thinking.
I only didn't know maybe 2 of those.

I pretty much agree with that list, actually.

I think the reason Crazy got number 1, is because Gnarls Barkley wasn't well-known before that song - and that song gave them all of their fame. Like...all of it. Literally.

Well, not exactly. Sure that song was big, but Danger Mouse was one of the biggest producers in the world even before Gnarls Barkley. Cee-Lo wasn't quite as famous, but he's been working for a long time in the hip-hop scene.

Either way I agree that Crazy was stuck in my head through most of that year, and I couldn't help but sing along to it every time it was on the radio, playing in a bar or club. I know people thought I was crazy but that damn song is so catchy.

Yeah but how many people knew that Danger Mouse had anything to do with Gnarles Barkley before it got pointed out to them after Crazy became a hit?

I don't mean people who are in the music industry, or pay a lot of attention to it - I mean your average radio listener/itunes downloader.

Listening to that Crazy song, it does sound familiar. Catchy song, but the best of the decade??

Well in the realm of shitty pop music it was one of the better songs of the decade for sure.
