Doctor Who

Anybody watch? Great jumping on point. Everything is oh so shiny and new. New head writer, new Doctor, new TARDIS, new sonic screwdriver, new logo, new theme song, new everything.

Quite enjoyed Matt Smith as the Doctor. Very likable fellow. Nice way of connecting the companion to him. Horrible cgi in the first ep but that's never the draw.

Saw the first five eps and im loving it.

Its nice that they arnt wasting time building up to the big season long conspiracy but are digging into it.

So far I'm still unimpressed. To me, the acting has been very strong, but the writing is has been mediocre at best.

The show looked interesting to me when I saw a commercial for it, but I have no idea what time it's on or what channel, so I've never actually seen it. :ohreilly:

Vincent and The Doctor

I think that might have been my favorite episode so far this season. Then again I have a soft spot for Van Gogh. Got a little teary eyed at the end.

Re: Doctor Who

Just saw Hungry Earth

I was enjoying it right up until I realized it was suppose to be a Israel/Palestine metaphor, and then I enjoyed it less.

Also, having the future copies show up kinda ruins a bit of tension

But all in all, nice ep

I watched my first Doctor Who series, and I enjoyed it, but not sure if want to go on since not sure how feel about the new Doctor based on his minor appearance at the end of the ep

Damn that was a good finale. Finally one where the manipulation of time was at the forefront.

And fezzes are cool.

I'd totally buy that if it was a lightsaber.

Anyone catch the Christmas Special?

Was a fantastic piece of television.

And a sneak peak at series 6

A very nice take on A Christmas Carol. Smith shines when he's paired with a kid. And it had Dumbledore. :D

I like that they seem to be stepping out of the studio more and filming on scene. It will add an element of realism.

Interesting premise for the premiere... leading to a lot of speculation by fans.

Looks like The Doctor has more pressing matters than the royal wedding, we have our Pandicora.

Re: Doctor Who

A little Time Lord? I am intrigued.

And you've got to feel bad for River.

I wonder how these two episodes would have worked if they kept the Silents from view until the very end and we only experienced everything how the characters did. It was much creepier seeing the marks suddenly appear knowing the Silents were seen without seeing them.

I loved the last episode. Neil Gaiman wrote it and he is a master of crafting adult fairytales.

Indeed. Though I don't think it was a shirt yet then.
