Tom Cruise is recently doing a great job at starring in Duncan Jones ripoffs. First Oblivion which ripped off Moon, now Edge of Tomorrow which steals the idea of The Source Code.

Actually Edge of Tomorrow is based off the novel All You Need Is Kill.

EDIT: Read it. Looking forward to this movie more. Interesting the changes they made. The book is YA fiction so they aged up the characters a good deal. The look of the creatures from what little the trailer shows seems to make more sense if their origin is kept the same rather than their book description.

In the afterword, the author states video games were his inspiration. You die again and again and learn from your mistakes while your character doesn't physically change.
