Re: Disney Trying to screw me

So it must be a bootlegged copy becuase how else could Disney accidently stick a Pinocchio label on a movie that isn't even their's?

:hmm: sue and claim damages on the basis of false representation and professional negligence...lol

....or u could just return it to the guy at the counter and ask for a real pinocchio one...:p ;)

hey just curious...anyone liked the old cartoon An American Tale?

Crash 10-11-2004 03:54 AM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

dunno, but i'll call disney in the mornin, maybe they can help me out

Dyne 10-11-2004 05:30 AM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

That's stupid. You're going to have to go to the manufacturing plant to file a complaint, probably. Hopefully Disney can help you out. They're friendly people; I know plenty of people who work for them.

and crash...SUE THEM! :p...they got too much money anyway

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

You should sell it on ebay, I bet it's even more rare than the regular DVD. :D (And I'm serious about this!)

Kitana85 10-11-2004 11:13 AM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Wait, so did you get the DVD off of like e-bay or a provate dealer, or did you get it from Disney itself... if you got it from Disney itself, then it prolly is worth some more money.

Typhoid 10-11-2004 03:19 PM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

2 words.

Sue them!

Sue them hard.

Sue them like you've never sued anyone before.

GameMaster 10-11-2004 03:23 PM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Unless Crash can represent himself in court, sueing would only cost him more money in the end.

Yeah, lol, if Crash is willing to sacrifise his pride by going on a sorry show like that for Pinocchio, I'll sit in the stands and watch. Me and happydude will hold up a banner that says, "Go Crash!" ;)

Kitana85 10-11-2004 04:08 PM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

people can only go o judge judy and other shows like that after they have been to a traditional court... its a post-first date arbitration

BreakABone 10-11-2004 05:31 PM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Where'd you buy it?

I mean it sounds rather weird for something like that to happen.

Also find it weird that the DVD says Limited Issue.. most of them.. well heck, I know of no DVD that advertises that on the DVD itself.. but would assume it would say Limited Edition or Special Edition

Typhoid 10-11-2004 05:34 PM

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Well, Crash.

Instead of just bending over and waiting for penetration, you could stick it to them first and sue those bastards.

Dont be the screwee, be the screwer!

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Why the hell did you buy Pinocchio in the first place?

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

My friend bought a copy of a Mickey Mouse game for SNES from Funcoland...

Turned out to be Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island... Too bad the save battery was dead, but still, I think someone's out to get Disney...

Roflmao @ DM! :D

I once bought Alien Ressurection, it turned out to be Alien. I went back to tell it, but I decided to keep it because I didn't have that one yet. :p I bought me a new A:R.

Well that happened quite a lot.

My god-cousin worked at a movie/game rental place a few years back, and lots of people would just change the sticker and keep another game. Like I forgot.. I think it was Contra III that was on the Super Tecmo Football cartidge I got from him.

Re: Disney Trying to screw me

Yeah, I did that with NHL '95 once for my Genesis. See, my NHL '95 wouldn't save, so we decided to rent another one and we figured we just be able to switch them and it would be fine. Problem was that the video store puts a sticker on the games, just so people can't do what we were going to do. Anyway, we had to slowly but surely peel the sticker off and put it onto the other cartridge. It took forever, but we never get caught.

The saddest part about that story is that the video store's NHL '95 was flawed too. If you obtained more than 60 some wins in a season, it would put you into last place in the standings...So, all that work for not much.

I know (well I didn't know it happened a lot, but it was just obvious someone switched the labels cause the label was actually coming off the top of the cartridge in the first place), I was just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill... :(

My brother found a copy of Madden 2003 for PS2 on the street. The game didnt funcion. So we rented it from Rogers, and just wrote the same number on it in indellable black pen. We are clever.

I don't like it when people steal/pirate games or movies.

I've stopped pirating music. I'm just listening to the Spinto Band.

I started pirating music again lately. I downloaded Soulseek and it works wonders.

And Typhoid...He's giving us some money too because it is our music after all. I guess he could just sell it all for himself and I would never really know, but...*shrug*

To make up for the $5 blank CDs.

It's better than selling them for $18...

Seriously though...We as a band make all of our CD's, the artwork, CD labels, stickers, whatever. We calculated that it costs 80 CENTS to make one CD. So, yes, we do make a $4 some profit off of each CD sold, but we have to survive somehow.

Nevermind I missed the part where you said he was giving you money for the ones he sold... Which I guess was a pretty important part :sneaky:

SUE THEM FOR WHAT?

You've got to be kidding me. If crash bought a legit dvd, then he deserves a legit DVD, but you don't ****ing SUE someone because they made a mistake in production. You'd be laughed out of court.
