Mario Tennis.. Screenies (5-6-Kay BeWare)

Well, the game is currently slated for a Nov 8th release (commercial suicide, but eh I'll pick it up), it looks fun as hell. And according to IGN you will be able to play normal tennis as well.

There's like 7 of these with different colored Marios won't post them all.

Love the arena.

Love this arena.. again.. er court..

That's it for now.

More screens at the site.

This game looks friggin gorgeous. But Mario Tennis ( For N64) will be a hard game to follow. I know this is on the GC and all, but MT was a classic.

I loved the N64 version so this is a definite must-buy. My favorite character is Waluigi. I'M number one!

Well, I'm sure this game will probably go under the radar for several reasons, but GameInformer, IGN andf GameSpot recently posted impressions, and they seemed impressed overall. GameInformer was able to finally confirm that there will be atleast 3 courts with no gimmicks whatsoever other than the ones seen in the original (Clay, Grass, etc...). And about 5 courts with different gimmicks. A movie over at IGN confirmed that you are able to turn off the "Power" moves so all of those who were worried, there is a normal tennis mode in the game. And for those who care, you have the extras. Seem like they replaced some of the characters.. Baby Mario where are you? And some other stuff.

Here is the boxart, which is very pleasing to the eyes since it seems so simple, but busy.

And here are some scans from Famistu, confirming Diddy and Baby Bowser as new characters.. though Diddy is on the box...

So it looks like Boo's power is the ability to make several copies of himself which is cool. :)

Diddy's power is a barrel jetpack. Not sure how the referee allows that one.

Mario "Power" Tennis?

The logo looks absolutely kickass and all, but I can't imagine walking up to a counter and asking for "Mario Power Tennis."

Cut the embarrassment without cutting your fun! Buy videogames with lame names and chick flick movies off amazon.com or any online retailer and no one will ever know!

This is awesome. I just whipped out my Mario Tennis for 64 and started playing again. Man what a fun game. Last night I did doubles with my cousin and we set the computers to intense. DAMN! They are tough. Luckily we succeeded once, me being DK and my cousin being Boo. I can't wait for the GCN Mario Tennis.
