Rome:Total War Screens

I saw these and had to post them. I can attest that they are all in-game screens.

In case you were wondering, these are the now infamous "burning pigs" that were used to freak out War Elephants and simply to plow into enemy units and set them aflame.

Nice... +rep.. now I must have this game :)

Re: Rome:Total War Screens

I don't see the war elephants. Nor the Orcs.

Looks sweet, mass units are cool. :p

Are you able to catapult diseased animals into enemy castles?

Professor S 08-24-2004 11:30 AM

Re: Rome:Total War Screens

What? Aren't flaming pigs good enough for you? ;)

I don't think you can but I also don't think that its historically accurate either. I don't think they did that back then as the plague didn't happen until Medeival times (and no, you couldn't do it in Medeival: Total War either:()

AS for the War Elephants... download the Demo and you'll see what I mean. Watching a few elephants decimate an entire unit of Legionnaires ticklesme in funny places...

It would be sweet to ride elephants into battle! :D

Re: Rome:Total War Screens

It looks cool, but there's no way in hell it would run on my PC. So I guess it's a few more years of Starcraft for me.

Re: Rome:Total War Screens

Star Craft is a sweet game! :D wish they would make a second one... :(

I've never seen a downloadable demo that cost money. :)

Will the demo run on my AMD 2400+ with 512 MB RAM and 128MB video???

It will run beautfully. I have a 2500+ (overclocked) 512 megs of ram and a 9800Pro and it runs perfect so you wont have any trouble.

@.@

Should run great on my pc

Re: Rome:Total War Screens

Quiet Canyarion. :p

I think it should run good on any "new" computer. It only requires Pentium III.

I know that doesnt mean anything, but still, its the only thing i remember.

And it only took me 10 minutes to DL it.

I love this game so much, and I've only played one battle, because thats all it lets you play. But i can play it a million times I can. :)

Man, now the wait until the game comes out will be hell.

September.....your so close....yet so far.

And if i remeber correctly, the date isnt exact, is it?

As I said, I can run it with everything pumped up 100% and it still runs great. I'm sure if you used the default settings for graphics it woulf run just fine. I know the developers said they wanted the game to be able to play on even lower end PCs so they gave a lot of options.

But hey, if you want to find out before you spend money on it, get the demo and see for yourself :D
