This is the coolest thing I've seen in quite a while.

Re: WOW!

That was awesome, it would be awesome-er if it was done in one take, and was all real ( because im slightly doubting the tires rolled up:p)

It was insane though.

And the track at the end, ( Rappers delight) made me want to listen to "Triple Trouble" by the Beasties.

Re: WOW!

pfffft. Fakest thing ive ever seen. It was believable early on, but then just got too out of control. Was still kinda neat I guess.

That was so cool.
My favorite part was the walking wind shield wipers.

Re: WOW!

Yeah, I believed it up until the tires. I can't see that happening.

Re: WOW!

I saw that thing at least a year ago and none of it is fake. The site I saw it on had info on how everything was done and ****. I'd look for it but I'm too lazy.

Re: WOW!

The muffler rolled way too far too, but I agree, the tires were just rediculous. Tires don't roll uphill.

I liked that part too. It was pretty funny. Who cares if it was real or not? It was still cool to see.

Got unlazy and found an article on it. Took 606 takes.

At one point three tyres, amazingly, roll uphill. They do so because inside they have been weighted with bolts and screws which have been positioned with fingertip care so that the slightest kiss of kinetic energy pushes them over, onward and, yes, upward.

For me it was a firsty, and I'm spent after watching that. What a great night.

Hehe that was fun, some parts looked very unrealistic though.

Next time, don't mislead us with World of Warcraft please. :)

I thought it was pretty cool. Slightly unbelievable but still funny.

Re: WOW!

Even with that description, some parts were just too crazy to be real. Im still very doubtful.

Re: WOW!

Yeah, i still dont believe the tires, or the wipers. If you look at the filming, it seems to get choppy in sme places, and looks suspiciosly like they did some parts frame by frame.

I agree with Jason, after reading it i still dont believe. Just because it has a description about how they did it it doesnt mean its true, i can write an essay about how im king of the world, but alas, it isnt true.

It's because I'm king of the world. And physics makes some of those motions impossible. Why would Honda spend that much time and money on film, cameramen, teamsters, artists, and scientists to do the same thing a team of professional graphic artists could do?

Re: WOW!

nice...although i still dont eleive the tire part because eve after it hit the second or third tires, they still kept on rolling up...

Stonecutter 08-11-2004 10:06 PM

Re: WOW!

It has to do with weighting the tires.

It works.

Think about it, you have a circular object; you attach a weight directly on the meridian and then balance the object, so you've got a weight at 0 degrees. Now bump the object slightly and the weight moves forward. Inertia takes over and the weight keeps moving forward and takes the tire with it.

Physics people forgive me, I did my best.

Snopes verified it too.
