Real life (the game!)

http://www.educationalsimulations.com/

It's pretty fun and addicting actually. I got a small Polish boy. He was rejected by 20 women, but near the end of his life he had over 5 million in land investments. And then there's Vincente Valencia from Puerto Rico; he was a total ladies man. I've had him marry 13 times and have 32 kids. What a stud!

And I've always said no to the drugs. :D Screw drugs, man!

Re: Real life (the game!)

My first character is a Bulgarian girl who is unattractive and weak but has musical talent. She lives in the town of Sofiya.
She's an only child.

Her fatehr is very disease/condition prone.

He has a peptic ulcer, a goiter, asthma and arthritis of the knee.

Her mother died of an epileptic seizure when she was only 8.
The mother was 40.

She flunks out of college and becomes a salesperson.

Marries a metal worker at 35 and has a son.

Has a second son at 41 born with a congenital heart anomoly.

Husband dies when he's 52.

Re-marries at 57.

First son graduates from college with a degree in physics. Doesn't get into graduate school. Joins the military.

Second son does drugs and joins the military.

Both sons wives are quite successful.

Second husband dies at 68

First son dies at age 38 from pneumonia. His wife gives birth to his first daughter shortly after he dies. My character is 74 at the time.

Retires at 75.

Second son has a baby girl.

Dies from an infection at 83.

Everyone else post your character's life stories!

My Hong Kong girl, Xiao-Cheng Ho, was an excellent student. She graduated two years early (ahead of her sister!) and has ended two marriages. She went through graduate school and is now a lawyer. She also lost 3 million due to flooding and was robbed of 200,000, and that's about when I quit for tonight.

There is no Vancouver. There is a Victoria.

I had one life where i wa a millionaire, my looks were 100, and i had 7 wives and 10 kids when i died at 84 from a stroke.

Making characters is boring though.

I think i'll stick with randomised ones.

Re: Real life (the game!)

I started the game, yet I found I couldn't really do anything. All the controls you can't use. Do I have to do something first...? *goes to check the tutorial*

I can't do any of the actions, and I can't zoom in and out..

Do I just keep hitting "Age a Year"?

Growth stunted from inadequate protein.

My mother has graduated from secondary school.

My family and I were not directly affected.

I was a little Nigerian girl who died at age 0 from malnutrition.

This game is a bringdown, you never really get good things, people always die from cancer, or get herpes or something.

EDIT:

I would hate to be my adotpted asian girl. Her name is Shi-ting. Yes, as in what you do in the bathroom.

This is a strange journal entry:

42 years old

I am suffering from clinical depression.

Discovered I am infertile.

Daughter Shi-ting born.

Re: Real life (the game!)

My second attempt was a homosexual Taiwanese. After getting dumped by male-after-male we turned Bi and got a girl pregnant. Then, he joined the military, proposed, and got left with a child. After finding another woman, he had another child and became a sergeant. There were a few years of lavish living, but it ended poorly. Wife was clinically depressed for ages, and his health rarely rose above 40. He continually attended political events... but somehow, he was arrested for anti-government plotting (despite being in the military). Released the same year, he changed to Logging because he was too old. And then the old man went blind and had to be a sub-farmer. At that time, he made less money than his wife, and decided to have a heart-attack.

Re: Real life (the game!)

I was a Canadian living in Halifax.

There was a fire where 2 people died, those 2 people were my parents.

I was a Company president making 125,000 canada dollars ( as the game says) a week. My wife was a seemstress making 2,700 a week.

My net total was 19,783,946.

I died at 72 from an asthma attack.

I could have retired at age 47 and have enough money to live to the age 93, but i kept working until the day i died, so i had enough money to live to be 403. ( as the game told me)
