Re: The new Zelda
Nintendo finally listened to us! I saw the video on the press conference stream, I drool and I salivate.
Now Nintendo needs to market and hype the hell out of it because its gonna sell 'Cubes. |
Re: The new Zelda
Like I said, it looks like a much more epic Zelda... Even the music was like LotR...
Awesome graphics, I can't wait for this one... I hope the gameplay is more realistic too, maybe with some survival aspects... And two more things, I wonder if it'll be tied into previous Zelda games like WW was, and whatever happened to that Cel-shaded WW sequel?... Hmm... |
Re: The new Zelda
Ohhh my god. That is SOO awesome. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
|
Re: The new Zelda

Re: The new Zelda
lol, I like the "Coming Soon" at the end of the trailer. My ass.
But anyway, maaaan, does that look sweet. |
Re: The new Zelda
Video is incredible...Talk about getting people excited, this is surely the way to do it. How I love Shiggy.

This game, on the other hand, looks to be a whole new take on the Zelda series, in a much more realistic, detailed, LotR-esque way... |
Re: The new Zelda
Can we all agree that we'll be fine with TWO new Zelda titles? One a Wind Waker sequel and one the new one? :)
|
Re: The new Zelda
i love it!!!!!!!!!

Re: The new Zelda
Well damn, this game makes me want to buy a Cube.
But I'm still saving up for that XBox or Halo2! Mwuahaha.... |
Re: The new Zelda
I can honestly say I am a true nerd. It took me ten minutes to finally stop the happy noises escaping from my mouth after merely READING that Nintendo had gone back to realistic.
*stifles a tear* It's so pretty... *shrugs and goes back to watching the video again...and again....and again...and again....* |
Re: The new Zelda
Oh my God... I am going to piss in my pants... My my... I love you Nintendo. :WHOA:
|
Re: The new Zelda
score....sweet video and pics.....and more score to the no cell shaded-ness...here is some simple math....
Zelda+ Cell shaded= PURE AND UTTER EXCRAMENT!!! *looks at screens* *Picks up Kleenex* |
Re: The new Zelda
Amazing. I cant believe it. Nintendo flat out lied to us all, and I love them for it.
|
Re: The new Zelda
I like the realistic demon with the chain. I am content with these preview pictures.
|
Re: The new Zelda
*kisses nintendo*
God. This makes owning a cube worthwhile. This is the kind of game I LIVE for. Thank you so much Nintendo. Finally, I'm getting EXCITED about games again!!!! SF2 and the new Zelda...omg...so awesome. |
Re: The new Zelda
I think it's safe to say, NINTENDO IS FINALLY LEARNING. ITS ABOUT TIME YOU ****ING MORONS

They are making games like they used too. The right way. But, I know I'm going to be criticized for this, but I am also learning why nintendo isnt making any Online games. I have truely converted. I dont think Online is the way to go. I have had SO MANY bad experiances trying to get online games to work for me. Something always messes up, and it's so damn expensive. Thanks nintendo. you're learning, and I'm learning. |
Re: The new Zelda
This is good stuff. Finally a game that has the potential to stand out in this generation like Halo and like mario and Zelda did in the last one.
BTW does anyone know where I can get the direct feed for the conference? I plan to dl Sony's, M$ and Nintendo's. BTW you can't please some people at all, people are on the ign boards complaining about the realistic Zelda. |
Re: The new Zelda
You're kidding me... God, sometimes I wonder if these people just live to complain about everything. Perpetual advocates of Satan.
Do you have a link to the thread? *shrugs and walks away* |
Re: The new Zelda
Yeah, if you're an Insider you can get it. Otherwise, I'm looking elsewhere right now.
|
Re: The new Zelda
Well I'm not sure if everyone has insider so I'll just post it here.
"Sorry for the negativity at such a gracious time for Nintendo and its fans, but I had to throw in my two cents. First and foremost congrats to all those here and everywhere else wanting a new "realistic" and "mature" Zelda. Nintendo hath answered ye prayers! However, I'm a little dissapointed. Let me just say that the new Zelda does look breathtaking, to say in the least, but I still can't get over a few things. First off I loved Wind Waker more than any other Zelda out there. I loved the style and the new gaming elements it set for itself and the series. Now as I watch this new trailer of a brand new Zelda I'm wondering a few things. Where is the sequel to WindWaker? Why did they change the graphic style? Why does the game look IDENTICAL to OoT, but more polished up? Why do I see NOTHING new at all with the series (excluding horse fights)? Seriously...I'm just not that excited. It's OoT all over again, but with a graphics overhaul as far as I'm concerned so far. I find it sad that Nintendo reverted back to a more "realistic" style. I mean...I would have been fine with it had it looked a little different than it's predecessor, OoT. But here we are...seemingly stuck in the same world, with the same type of Link, with the same conflict, and same type of gameplay, etc. Sorry Nintendo, but this is one time where I feel you shouldn't have gone with the crowd, and stuck with the freshness of what you got now... -Mac" http://boards.ign.com/message.asp?to...cribersendto=1 Of course flaming ensued afterwards |
Re: The new Zelda
He's throwing a "nothing new" argument FAR too soon. We know absoluetely nothing about the game. How can he judge what's new or not?
For all we know, the horse fighting is just one of many new aspects in the game. Some people are just idiots. *shrugs and walks away* |
Re: The new Zelda
" But here we are...seemingly stuck in the same world, with the same type of Link, with the same conflict, and same type of gameplay, etc."
He could tell that much from a 2 minute video depicting nearly no story information and only a few gameplay scenes? That's one smart guy. |
Re: The new Zelda
I had to work tonight.. I just got back.. all I can say is... WOW!! Seriously, that looks ****ing amazing. Thank you, Nintendo.
|
Re: The new Zelda
Just watched the trailer.. What I want to say now is..
DITCH THE F***ING MIDI. I want ORCHESTRAL PIECES for this game! Damnit! I would've liked Wind Waker SO much more if you used REAL music! Now, you've changed the graphical style; it's really nice. But for christ's sake.. get some real music! I even had to put up with this in Mario Sunshine. Ok, end rant. Still, it looks pretty cool. |
Re: The new Zelda
"And two more things, I wonder if it'll be tied into previous Zelda games like WW was, and whatever happened to that Cel-shaded WW sequel?... Hmm..."
Just a cover so nobody would suspect a thing. Im sure it will be out in 2005. Nintendo has too much on its plate for this year to even think about another big release. EDIT: oh, and this hardly seems like the same ol same ol. It appears there is some sort of LOTR-like war going on. |
Re: The new Zelda
all i can say is i will be creaming my pants everyday until this is released....im gonna have to cut food out of my budget, and replace it with Kleenex....or new pants... The day this game comes out will be the creamiest of them all..
*Searches for Kleenex* |
Re: The new Zelda
Christ man, have you no shame? You ejaculate more than anyone I know.
|
Re: The new Zelda
:sneaky:
*goes to store, buys Kleenex* And i think it is apparent that i have no shame....shame leads to death....somehow...i cant even fathom to explain it for the fact that if i even try to grasp the idea to explain to you......the world will implode... |
Re: The new Zelda
........Shock........Awe.........Shock and Awe......
|
Re: The new Zelda
Luckily my Kleenix have Aloe Vera.
mmm..............soothing. Video looks great. Awesome lighting. Can't wait |
Re: The new Zelda
Gamespot has confirmed that the new Zelda is in fact the game we thought was Wind Waker II, but it won't be called that when it's released in 2005 and isn't an actual sequal to wind waker
|
Re: The new Zelda
So when do we get our next cel-shaded adventure?
