Still in Iraq

Well I got an Email from the wife the other day, and she told me that I had some friends asking about me at GameTavern. Yeah... right, Friends. :D

So here I am, still in Iraq and it seems that I will be staying here for just a little bit longer, and that means for another 3 months. I found out about this a little over two weeks ago, so I'm still kinda in shock.

Now the question is, how am I doing over here? Well, that is kind of hard to explain. Believe it or not, I'm doing fine. But that is just as fine as I can be, being in Iraq. I try not to be to upset about it, because I still have a very long time over here. Figured that if I have a bad attitude while I'm over here, it's just going to make things that much longer. And believe me, I don't want that.

I tried to give you guys a little update yesterday, but my time was up before I got finished writing a post. Thats the biggest problem over here, I never have time to write long emails, we only get a half an hour to do what we need to do on the computer. Then we are kicked off. So try to imagine if you could only get on a computer 30 mins every couple of days. But I'm happy about it, because at least I get to talk with friends and family once in a while.

I have also been reading the post on "WMD" and want to respond to that, but never get enough time to do it. Believe me, after being out here, I have my own opinion on that subject... well, look at that, they are calling my Station.

Well guys, I hope you are all doing well. And I hope that the ones with family over here are safe. Later people.

Oops. I wasn't paying attention. Tell me again what is going on.

Re: Still in Iraq

wow, camfubot... you've got amazing timing.

to the real Camfu, i'm sorry to hear that you have to be over there for another 3 months. but you'll make it, and when you get back you've all the computer time you need...

my dad is over there, until september i think...he hasn't been writing e-mails lately because he is in transition so i don't really know what is going on. but he normally sends out a mass e-mail to the entire family when he gets on the computer. if you guys only get a half hour i guess he types it on his pda before hand.

Re: Still in Iraq

I agree. Good timing there CamFuBot.

But good luck and try to be patient for the big check CamFu. It'll be worth the extra 3 months:D

What's going on bald-ass? The one-and-only gekko aka "Super Grunt" is on his way over :D

Good to hear from you. Be nice to my Marines over there, I wouldn't want to see you get your ass kicked.

Tell us more when you get a chance. If not, I would wait for you to come back, but I'm leaving in August to demolish Fallujah.

Bube 04-24-2004 02:24 PM

Re: Still in Iraq

Well, at least you're doing okay. Hope you come back in 3 months, without any other delays.

You too Gekko. Both of you take care over there. And come back safe and sound.

Re: Still in Iraq

Haha. Awesome. Yeah, I imagine you won't even see this post for another few days, if at all, but whatever. I was just wondering what was up. I'd heard a whisper here and a murmer there but never any substantial info on what you were up to. Good to hear you're still breathing. Come back safe.

I dont know who you are, but the fact that you are there makes me feel sympathetic enough to say what im saying. Judging by people response you must be the "cool guy" at this here place, so stay in one piece so i can p*ss you off too when you get back...i'll be counting the days... :p

(Does this mean i cant refer to FooFoo, as Camfu anymore, my whole perspective has been turned upside down...)

Try to determine if this is a person or a computer responding.
Who is the best robot?

Hey CamFu, in regards to a recent Black Project thread, I thought I'd ask someone direct from the source: Are Camel Spiders real? Are they huge, do they scream, and do they numb their prey?

Typhoid 04-26-2004 01:25 AM

Re: Still in Iraq

Do they look like, or eat camels?

GameMaster 04-26-2004 01:38 AM

Hey good luck over there CamFu, I wish you guys all the best in Iraq, me on the other hand I don't have to deal with incoming fire all that often but I do have to deal with damn landmines. I'm going to hate afghanistan 7 Million Mines in that damn country. But off my rant. Hey come back in one peice and whatnot.. :).. And gekko you be careful in Fallujah, I was looking at some news articles the other day of those that have died. Just be careful and I know it's against our RoE. But, shoot first don't let them get the ****ing shot on you.

You know, I could see myself shooting it out with Al Queida or staring down Osama Bin Laden himself... but if I EVER saw one of those friggin camel spiders within 10 yards of me you wouldn't see me again until I sent you a post card from mother Russia.

I don't fear death, but I fear spiders... big a$$ friggin camel spiders... that picture will haunt my dreams for all eternity...

Compare that to small a$$ friggin camel spiders."" picture will haunt my dreams for all eternity ?

That picture is exagerated, as proven by Snopes.com, whether it has to do with the camera angle or whether it was digitally enhanced, but that's not exactly what they look like. Still, I agree, even if they are somewhat smaller than that, I would not want to **** with those spiders.

Typhoid 04-26-2004 08:28 PM

Re: Still in Iraq

To make the spiders look bigger, they use a zoom function on the camera, and a fish-eye type lense. Plus the guys hand is almost right over the camera.

Are you retarded? Seriously.

Even if I could understand what you were trying to say, I doubt I would care what it was you were saying.

Are you aware that CamFuBot is indeed a bot, and not a real person? Seems kind of silly for you to put it down, considering it's not real.

It's a forum bot. It's purpose is to serve as a replacement in the absense of the real Camfu, who is off fighting in Iraq. Neo created him.

Re: Still in Iraq

CamfuBot posts immidiatly after 5% of the posts...havnt you always wondered why he always quotes? Or why sometime s he quotes you seconds after you post.....
