In honor of...

...jeepnut's physics test I have decided to make this thread. It is dedicated to new cd releases. What is everyone excited about?

Tomorrow marks the release of Five Iron Frenzy's The End is Here They have decided to quit playing together and this album their final project. jeepnut can tell you more as he is an expert on the subject.

I am anxiously awaiting the Matchbox Twenty Show dvd that comes out in about a month. Also, a new cd from Greenwheel and a dvd (hopefully) from Blindside

I'm excited about D12's new release coming out 4/27, titled D12 world. It'll rock the house!

D12 is a sextet of Detroit-based rappers -- all between the ages of 23 and 25. Members Bizarre, Swift, Kon Artis, Proof, and Kuniva claim they are "here to bring the sick, the obscene, the disgusting."

Geez you're testy...

Well for your information, I wasn't on much yesterday because of the test and because I was around you for most of the day. :p

I was very upset yesterday though. Went to the store to get a copy of Five Iron Frenzy's cd and... nothing doing. They didn't have any. I'm not really surprised, but I'm still awefully dissapointed. It's days like these when I don't like living in a small town. Most other days I'm fine with it.

CD's that came out recently that I have purchased:
Blindside - About a Burning Fire
Beloved (US) - The Running EP
Dead Poetic - New Medicines
Immortal Souls - Ice Upon the Night (Facedown Records release)
Haste the Day - Burning Bridges

Cd's that I need to get soon:
Ace Troubleshooter - It's Never Enough (Released in April)
Five Iron Frenzy - The End Is Here 4/20/04
Squad Five-O - 5/18/04
Supertones - 6/15/04
Greenwheel - Don't know release date yet.

If you guys are at all interested, you should check out Five Iron Frenzy's latest called The End Is Here. It's 12.99 on Bestbuy.com and it's a two cd set. One a studio recording and one is a live album. Also includes a poster and special artwork. I don't think you can find a much better deal than that in music stores these days.

Eh... I hadn't heard of D12 until like a month ago. I seriously can't stand rap except for select number of Eminem songs.

At any rate... I don't know what I'm looking forward to. Any good alternative rock really.

I like how J.S. and Jeppnut are arguing over a forum.....semi-lame.....but at the same time semi-amusing...

And im pretty sure eminem is in D12, hes in all of their songs, and hes the cover boy for their "music". Unless hes whoring himself out for cash that is...musically of course....

GameMaster 04-21-2004 07:57 PM

Re: In honor of...

Eminem is in D12. That's where Slim Shady comes from. D12 stands for the Detroit Twelve. There are six members in total and each of them created an alter ego, counting it as a member of the group. The names that Germanator listed are the names of thier alter-egos. Eminem's alter ego is named Slim Shady.

Just the last 20 seconds. I heard it on the radio once, and I have an mp3 of it. I'm not really into rap/hiphop, but I like the rhythm in some songs (Slim Shady comes to mind).
