*hypothetical question* what would you do?
 

okay. here it is:
a kid in a class of yours(high school people) is pretty much a pain in the arse. this person's always been a pest. one day, the person gets on your nerves. after class, the teacher says to you that he/ she personally wants to see you put the person in line.(ala w/ your fists) what would you do? would you do that immeadiately, and take the risk of getting suspended? sneak the person in the halls for all to see? or, take it up w/ the administration, or just keep brushing off the bull**** the person's giving out? or something else? what would you do?

personally, I'd trick the person or embarass them horribly...

Well if the teacher wants you to fight, then fight him in the classroom when only the teacher is there... So the teacher then would no report anything.

Why not just shoot him, that would be quicker.

If someone was being that big of a dick to me in class, and my teacher said it was ok, it just hit him in the face....( or what the "cool" kids at my school say now is "lump"...so i guess i would lump him one)

I would just...er...well I don't have the will to hit anyone, because frankly, I wouldn't want to. I'd tell the teacher that I wasn't right for this kind of thing, and just walk away. Or maybe I should shrug and walk away. ;)

that way it's off school property and you wont get suspended or anything :)

You should bring a tape recorder and secretly record the teacher telling you to put the kid in check. Then go ahead and do it. Then say "My teacher gave me approval to do it"

But then the administration will say "you should've told us rather then kick his ass"...ohhh the paradox

Dyne, you speaketh my language. one time, I hit a senior so hard, he fell to the ground, and I saw his eyes roll into the back of his head. and yes, he started it..i was a freshman when this happened mind you, now a sophomore..

Im just not viloent, so I wouldnt hit them. Thats me personally though, go ahead and hit them if youd like. Id either humilate him/her, or report the teacher to the administration depending on if I liked the teacher or not.

I'm not one that likes to engage in violent conflict unless another party starts. that's how it was w/ the senior, and with this kid. I do take martial arts, but there are certain "codes" we're taught:
-Loyalty to country
-Obedience to parents
-Honor friendship
-No retreat in battle
-in fighting, choose with sense and honor
you see, choose with SENSE and HONOR. that means you just don't go in and kick the crap out of a guy you dislike for no apparent reason. the martial arts are a form of SELF DEFENSE. not RECKLESS OFFENSE. so, in other words, I'm not going to engage in conflict unless necessary, and I should(and do) know this.

You're allowed to hit someone whenever you like (though it may be abuse.) What you're not allowed to do is a calculated reverse punch in the solar plexis in a front stance, and following up with a roundhouse groin kick.

It's like applying boxing to real life. You probably shouldn't punch someone, and "guidlines" are there, but if this guy is a total penis head, he deserves some sense whacked into him - Literally. It's probably not morally acceptable to throw him in a ring with you so you can beat him up like a punching bag.

See, don't use your style. Use your common sense. You've sworn loyalty to the style, but you're still YOU. Don't let it get in the way.

I'm aware of who i am, and trust me, today, you didn't wanna be there/near me. i almost snapped(well, i lashed out at him, didn't beat him senseless thank god). but hey, even today, the teacher said "good job for keeping a cool head. I have no idea what he's got against you.."
Hey, I have knocked some hits into him, but not like, planned to go beat the living crap out of him. well, i've thought about it, but i'd hate myself the next day for doing it..like..i'd be happy as well...

I've never been in that situation... well in HS at least. If the teacher gives you the go ahead, and you think you can beat him just do it. Oh, if you haven't got in a fight before, remember... play dirty, stick your finger so deep in his eye that you feel his brain ;) (unless you can beat his ass, then you don't have to be cheap :p)

eh, I've been in a few skirmishes. he's only got one friend, but i could take care of the guy easily. I'd just nail him right after class(last class of the day, thank god) from behind, and then just go meidevil on him. Friday's not gonna be good in my favor for balances of power. the teacher's gonna be out, and hopefully i'll get stuck w/ a no BS sub..and if not, i'll just hit him hard w/ verbal stuff. did that today, only i pretty much countered every action he did. nailed him w/ one remark really good..but I know he'll get his...every bully/fool, etc does.
