brain benders...
hmm...its not very difficult..if u take a few minutes to think about it...i just tot this might b interesting to c what everyone thinks...lol...
1. A man is condemned to death. He has to choose between 3 rooms. The first is full of raging fires, second ...full of assasins with loaded guns and the third is full of lions tat hav not eaten in 3 years.....which room is safest for him? 2. What would happen if u struck a match in a room filled with hydrogen gas? 3. A group of flies are trapped in a sealed jar. You place the jar on a set of scales. The scales will reister the greatestt weight when the flies are: 1. sitting at the bottom of the jar 2. flying around inside the jar 3. neitrher, the weight is the same in each case lol ill hav the answers posted....in about 4 days time... :D |

said tot this might b interesting to c what everyone thinks. I'm glad you find this amusing. Are you still located in ? My favorite group is rubber. Thanks for telling me: said I place the jar on a set of scales.I have never heard about The scales will reister the greatestt weight when the flies are 1.Where is that: the bottom of the jar 2? . What is your chair like? What do you do in your spare time? What else is the same in each caselol ill hav the answers posted? I see. What is in 4 days time like in there? Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it. |

Re: brain benders...
The safest room would be the lions who haven't eaten in three years... Can't have survived that could they?
I don't know about the second one.. I keep changin my mind about whether the hydrogen would ignite the flame or...put it out... Unless the trick is that a person couldn't light a match since they couldn't breathe oxygen... The greatest weight would be if the flies were sitting on the bottom of the jar, right? They wouldn't be exerting pressure on the scale if they're floating above it... *shrugs and walks away* |
Re: brain benders...
lol i cant tell u if they are the right answers or not yet...let others have a go...but yea...u both are good..lol :p

Re: brain benders...
1. room full of lions
2. nothing 3. On the bottom Here is one for you guys... A man is condemed to death. He is in an arena with two doors leading out. One of them is the exit, the other leads into a deathtrap. In front of him are two men. One of them ALWAYS tells lies, the complete opposite of the truth. The other man ALWAYS tells the truth. he doest know which man is the liar, and which is the honest one. What question can he ask to know 100% sure what door leads out? |
Re: brain benders...
Ask one guard what the other guard would say if you asked him if the current guard your talking to guards the path to freedom....
|

Re: brain benders...
to the first 3 questions:
1. lions 2. flame would go out 3. i don't think it would be different to the door question: if you can ask 1 question to each person... hmm, nevermind, i'm stumped |
Re: brain benders...
what everone else said for the first 3....
and for the arena one, ask any true or false question... |

Re: brain benders...
Heh, it's cool I stumped so many peoples. :)
I will now reveal the answer...so if you want to still think about it, then don't read any further. The Germenator got it right. You can ask only one gaurd one question, and that question would be "If I ask the other guy "Which door will lead me to freedom?" what would he say?" If you ask the person who tells the truth, then he will point you towards the deathtrap, because the other guy would lie and say the death trap door. If you ask the liar, he would still point towards the deathtrap door because he would lie about what the honest man would say. |
Re: brain benders...
1. The room with the assassins because they will have killed themselves by the time you get in there.
2. Nothing because nomatter what else is in the air, you need oxygen for combustion. 3. It doesn't matter because the pressure on the bottom from the wings beating creates a lot of downward pressure on the scale. |
Re: brain benders...
1. The room with the lions. They're probably dead.
2. Nothing would happen. The match wouldn't even light up. That is, if you find the energy to work your muscles. 3. Flying around. They'd produce more CO2, which is heavier than O2, than when they aren't flying. Making the jar heavier. |
Re: brain benders...
walk up to one of the guards and ask him:
"the other guard...which door would HE say would be the door to freedom?" He says A, freedom is B He says B, freedom is A *edit* I replied after viewing page one...didn't see Vamp's answer |

I want to change my Number 3 Answer TO: neither, the weight is the same in each case :p |
Re: brain benders...

hmm..but theres a slight twist on the last answer...it should b able to go bothways..cuz its either...(the answer above) or its 3. because of the pressure made by the flies while theyre flying...(wings flapping) lol.. |
Re: brain benders...
Yeah! I got it right!!! :p

Re: brain benders...
For the fly question:
CO2, O2, H300, or even if they produce gold atoms somehow, the flys will always have the same mass if the jar is sealed no matter where they are. Conservation of mass. So no matter what they breathe or breathe out, the weight will be the same. But the beating of the wings would cause greater force (momentarily anyway), which is another word for weight. So that could be an answer. But the backwards motion of the wings would cause a drop in force on the scale, so it's also a wrong answer. |

Yes, yes we know.

Re: brain benders...
If they flies go up, they are heavier. When they hang in the air, just as heavy. If they go down, they'r lighter. .

Re: brain benders...
here are some, see if you can get these, dont answer immediately if you know these, but if you FIGURE them out, answer!
1. The Elevator A man lives on the 15th floor of an apartment block. Each day he leaves his apartment to go to work. He calls the elevator and, once inside, presses the ground floor button. When he returns from work he calls the elevator from the ground floor, enters the elevator and presses the 10th floor button. At the 10th floor he gets out of the elevator and walks the final 5 floors up to his apartment. Can you explain why? 2.The Mystery Field You are out for a walk in the countryside. You come across a field in which you find a carrot, two pieces of coal and some stones. Explain what they are doing there. 3. Bad Driver A man is driving through the city like a maniac. There is a woman in the back seat. The man stops the car and jumps out. When the man returns the woman is dead and there is a stranger in the car? Explain what happened. 4. The Hanged Man A man is dead in a barn. He hanged himself. There is a pool of water at his feet and he is suspended 5 feet above the ground. The walls are too far away for him to have climbed, How did he hang himself? 5. Desert Woman A woman is dead in the middle of the desert. She has a pack on her back. How did she die? 6. The Blind Beggar A blind beggar had a brother who died. What relation was the blind beggar to the brother who died? (Brother is not the answer). |
Re: brain benders...
"4. The Hanged Man
A man is dead in a barn. He hanged himself. There is a pool of water at his feet and he is suspended 5 feet above the ground. The walls are too far away for him to have climbed, How did he hang himself?" He propped himself on a block of ice. The other ones just confuse the hell out of me. |
Re: brain benders...
2.The Mystery Field
You are out for a walk in the countryside. You come across a field in which you find a carrot, two pieces of coal and some stones. Explain what they are doing there. A snowman melted. The coal, carrot, and stones were used to give him a nose, eyes, and buttons. |
