in a few days time my ass is ditchin dial-up and advancing to DSL woot!!! finally conviced my dad to get it.. yay!

I just got to college and so far the internet is pretty good. Surfing the web is really fast, but downloads are slow which is dissapointing. Plus, most students haven't arrived yet, and I'm not sure if more traffic on the newtork will slow things down more..

Heh, yeah. They discourage that at my college by offering MS Office, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver in a $30 legal set. I couldn't resist.

I've got DSL, and although it should be 5 times faster than dial-up, it's 7 times faster, and because I'm always connected, it's 20 times better. A very smart move.

im sooooooo happpy! not exactly cable but I DONT CARE anything is better then dial-up i have been with it for like 6 years now so please dont pop my bubble of enjoyment... let me have my moment :( :-P

Haha. DSL is awesome. I've got a friend that's got GREAT DSL (like 1.4 Mb). DSL can be great, and you're going to have a hard time remembering how bad it really was until 6 months later you jump on your friends 56k machine.

Although, 2Mb cable is good too.... ;)

I've been used to cable for a few months now. But right now im at my dads house and it wont connect higher then 26.4k. How I miss my cable:baby:
