First things first, S.T.A.R.S. and Umbrella are no more. The two tribes have merged into a single tribe. Congrats to the 10 of you for making it this far. Now it becomes every man, woman, child and old lady for themselves. From here on out you will be battling for individual immunity. You need to decide on a new tribe name.

To celebrate, tonight's challenge will be easy and festive. This evening we're having a jellybean guessing contest. I will post pictures of a jar of jellybeans and each of you will guess how many beans are in the jar. The closest person wins.

The A.G.R.S. may submit a single collective guess. If they happen to win, none of the Survivors will be granted immunity. Furthermore, the A.G.R.S. will be the ones who decide which Survivor gets kicked out.

I'll post the pics later tonight and you'll have until tomorrow to submit your guesses. I'm not sure when they'll be up because I still have to buy and count the damn beans. :D

Neo. In order to prevent a "Price is Right" disaster with the number guessing (y'know... guessing one higher than the person before you to null out their odds), perhaps you should have us PM our guesses to you.

and i guess i would go with infection, although it is more from "28 days later" (if that's what the movie is called) then resident evil.

I'm gonna miss my STARS banner... mainly because I liked the quote that Vampyr suggested and the image of Ogre (from Skinny Puppy). But I dunno, maybe a different ghoulish band member and quotable quote will appear on the banner of the merged tribe.

There are a total of 1141 jellybeans in the jar.


Rndm_Perfection was remarkably close with a guess of 1150, as was Dylflon with a guess of 1128. Even though Rndm was closer by 4 beans, I'm allowing for a margin of error in my counting abilities. Rndm_Perfection and Dylflon are awarded duel immunity.

I tried using math to solve it.

I approximated the volume of a jelly bean, and the volume of the jar, the divided. I must of had an error in my calculations because I missed it big time.

But I guessed 465. That was extremely low. If I had accounted for the space inbetween, than my guess would have been even lower.

Lol, I counted the ammount of beans in 1 layer. Then I counted the layers and multiplied it with 4/5. I was kinda way off with 1507. :(
