Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Correct answer
http://filmforce.ign.com/matrix/arti.../441196p1.html TWO MONTHS after it's theatrical release. Wow. Hope this isn't a trend. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
And what better time to buy the movie than after Christmas when I have no money at all.
|
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
i wonder when the special edition with all 3 of the movies comes out
|
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
They say the early release of the DVD had something to do with disappointing second week box office numbers. The Matrix Revolutions just kind of flashed in the pan and quickly fizzled away. I guess the word of mouth hasn't been too good to that movie.
Me, I'm staying with just the first movie thank you very much. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
I need to buy all three.
|
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
This is sad for warner bros... but good for me :)
I have reloaded and the first matrix, and Animatrix.... out of the three reloaded is the only one I manage to pop in at least once per week while the others are collecting dust. |

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Wow thats quick :wtf: kinda makes me wonder if it is becoming a trend. IF so there is really no point in going to the movies anymore when I can buy it and watch it at home two months later

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
$8.50 for a movie? Jesus. Our theaters over here charge $6.00-$7.00 for an adult ticket, and $4.00 for a matinee.
I wouldn't pay $8.50 to see the Matrix or TCM. |

:stupid:
A movie in cinema costs between €7 and €8 here, in the weekend. During the week it's about €6, or €5 with discount for students. :) I liked Revolutions, but I didn't feel the need to see it again... |

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
here it costs $13.95 can. to go see a movie in one of those big theatres, like the really famous ones (i.e. Famous Players) in others it's like $7 :)
|
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
$13.95 CAD at Famous Players? Hot damn, my ticket says $0.
Why you say? Oh...you'll never know!! *fades away into the night* |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
I suppose I'll take time out here to inform midwesterners that the Marcus Theaters are the best deal in movies. Go before 5:15, catch the early show for $5.25 buy a 32oz pop for $4.00, after that show (since the marcus theaters are so huge, there's 0 security coverage) refill your pop (refills are free) and go to another show. 2 moves, 64 ounces of pop, $9.25.
Though I suppose it is illegal, everyone does it, and everyone KNOWS that everyone does it, it's kind of a traditonal thing, so long as you don't sneek into a sold out show, they never kick you out. It's to the point where it's almost as if the theaters are marketed towards people seeing 2 for the price of one. Oh yeah, almost forgot: Free refills on popcorn too. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Costs me 7 bucks cdn at night. I'm a student.
You're prices are outrageous. The most I've payed for a theatre ticket was at collossal in Langley when I went to see the fellowship. |

lol, since i've WORKED in FP theatres...i do know :p

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Here at the not-sh*tty theatres (I especially frequent the Cineplex Odeon) it's like 12 or 13 bucks Canadian for an adult ticket. Add to that some popcorn, a pop, and maybe a little something else (a chocolate bar or whatever) and a night at the movies is usually about 25-30 bucks a person.
I think at the cheap theatres the admission is like 5 or 6 bucks, but they only play old sucky movies, and they end up gouging you a bit at the concessions anyway. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
I always bring my own food, even though it's not allowed. Prices for food are crazy, €3 for half a litre of coke.

My friend once smuggled in a 12 pack of coke into the theaters. The next challenge is an entire pizza in it's box.

Plus that way you don't end up accidentally spilling the pizza while sneaking it in underneath your shirt and getting sauce all over your pants or something. It's hard to pick up chicks when you have pizza sauce splattered all over your clothes. Well, not fat ones, but... |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Our theater doesn't have a pizza place in it. And just trying to smuggle stuff in is half the fun...It can be dangerous and exciting, I don't know, I've never really done it, but I can see why it may be fun. Well, I have snuck candy in, but that is child's play, gotta go for the big things.

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Look, Morpheus, I could sit here for the next few minutes and decipher all the convoluted logic we just got into or I can just leave it at this:
Yeah, it looked to me like he was saying the movie was great just because of the special effects, but I wanted to give him a chance to clarify. So I made that post hoping he'd explain himself. You apparently thought I was attacking him or something, so you made a post giving me a chance to clarify myself. Now I have done that. Since I haven't gotten any reply still, it's all a rather moot point, don't you think? |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Once we had to let them keep our bags with food and beer in it. *remembers Americans have to be 21 to drink:rofl:* Sorry, couldn't resist.
Pizza during a movie? No wonder Americans are fat people... on average. |
