Work Sucks!
 

In my opinion working sucks. Especially my job. How many of you have them jobs to where customers bug the sheit out of you just to ask a dumb question? or need help finding something and its right there behind them? I work at a walgreens, photo specialist, stocker, cashier, so im basically putting up with peoples crap all the time. And then you want to do something about it, but you cant because if you had things your way like, smacking rude customers and being snobby right back to them... whatever happened to the saying, treat others as you would want to be treated.. i think this should go for us employees too at crappy jobs. you know they bitch at us we bitch right back, What job does everyone have?

well...i partially have a job :unsure: my job doesnt pay much, but thats caue i dont work much on it...i work for Pizza Pizza, i stay at home and take orders...other than that i dont have a job...and im too lazy to go get another one now anywayz, but i need money for my phone bill and stuff...

I have a job to pay for my car insurance, clothes, games, food and my MCSE, to have something to do, socialise, meet nice girls, pay for going out, drinks, build my dream career, learn things, .......

I work because my parents made me... But it is nice always having some extra money for drugs, beer and munchies.

I work at the Gap.. All I do is stand there, fold clothes, and say hi to people. It's quite a job.

i have a job because i gotta pay for my cell phone and generally have money for myself....i go thte same job as happydude...in fact i hooked him up with it :D

I got a job a week ago, my first day was today, I just got back in fact. Its at a place called Cobatco, and it pays 6.50 an hour. What we do, basically, is get waffle makers from resturants and such that are used and dirty, take them apart, clean them, and ship them back. So theres lots of different jobs, disassembly, re-assembly, waffle sprayer, the guys the clean them in the machines, ect. I also take 50lb packs of waffle mix and stick them in boxes to be shipped. From now until school starts, I work 8-4, but when school starts I only work 3-6. Its a decent job I think, and I come home smelling waffle fresh.

I love my job. It pays well, the hours are good, and I get to do what I love (play golf). I practiced like hell over the years to earn a spot as a golf instructor for junior golf camps at this really nice course, and it has definately payed off. $100/day for 7 hours. Golf instruction, putting competitions, and we even get to play 9 holes on the amazing course each day. Oh, and I get to golf there for free after work and on weekends...and the beer cart girls are fantastic! They still think I'm 20 :p

My parents didn't make me...I don't have bills to pay, and it's not cause of bordem. I do it cause I like it, and it brings in the cash.

I used to work at Dunkin Donuts... that was the worst job, my parents wouldn't even let me sit on our furtinure until I took a shower the smell was so strong. Ick, I now HATE donuts, and the other staffers were horrid people... but I quit now that I'm moving away for college. I also worked a a Bed and Breakfast a the beach.. that was a great job.. we get minimum wage, but they provide room and board and free beach passes... and all we have to do is waitress breakfast and dinner :)

Work is good if you actually like your job. For the other 99% of people, yeah it does suck. Unless you get lots of money. I think utlimately, I want to start a business of my own...

I just started doing some odd jobs for relatives (weeding, cleaning out basements, etc.)...they pay well because they don't want to screw a relative so that's pretty great. I also recently did some work for the MS Society where I dropped pamphlets in stores and stuff, but I'm looking to get a steady job to earn money to buy a band and practice space with my rock band, that's basically why I'm working...

I dont have a job yet, but in the summer im going to be a Stock boy for a lightbulb company. And my boss is going to be my brother......thats kinda sh!tty...eh Dylflon?

well, eventhough it is an old thread, i'll post:

I work because it is required to keep my scholarship. we're required to do a certain number of hours of campus work to pay back our scholarships. I work 5 hours a week as a calculus tutor. its not to bad, but i still don't like it

Well, midterms are soon, so I'll be looking for a job after that. If I can't find anything, I'll probably go back to the gap.. because my old manager said there is a job waiting for me if I need one.

I hate my job. I work at full serve gas station. I pump gas when it's cold, I pump gas when it's snowing, I pump gas when it's raining, and I pump gas when it's blazing hot outside. Customers are stupid, they dont know what theyre talking about. I'd say, if you want to see some of the stupidest people in the world, come to my gas station. I get paid $7.15CDN per hour, not too bad, could be better though. Also our gas station always has the lowest prices so we're always busier (that AND we're like the only full serve left in town, and people are just too damn lazy to pump their own gas, ha, I'd like to see an old lady try and figure out to work the gas pumps, which, by the way, isn't hard at all, but that's obvious).

The point is... working at a full serve gas station really sucks.

I'm 95% sure I'm quitting my job tomorrow. Stress is overboard and I can't stand being a level 2 technician. I'm not a person to be a LEVEL 2 TECHNICIAN. Level 1 is MUCH more suited for me but since the ISP is pissing me off, I'm probably just quitting tomorrow because I can't stand the stress anymore.

There is an easier way to make money you know....A while back, me and Dylflon played the guitar, told jokes and danced on the outside of a beer store and pulled in i think $20-40 in about 2-3 hours.....its kind of work, but you dont really notice it. Panhandleing is the way to go....( we also kind of Conned people though, we said we needed the money to go to camp, and all we wanted was a bag of chips and a slurpee...)

I work at the Gap too for those who stand, fold, and greet............ I do the same, except I'm like the only known computerist in the store, so I'm usually the one at the cashwrap doing FAST check outs, unless I have to call in an online return which I hate.

I want a job, maybe I'll get one soon. I know one place that I won't be working at, but where I wish I could work at. Subway of course! I want one of those shirts that says "Sandwich Artist". Ha, now I'm just dreaming, but it's a pretty sad dream. I'll probably just get a job at a grocery store, or some 7 Eleven type gas station thingy. :unsure:

Well..I figured, since it's a "Fast food" place, that it could be horrible. I wasn't going to work there anyway, because there are many other places closer to me. I just want a job though.

What are you talking about, you guys already do that on the Pm's and the Private message boards....its not like it can get any worse, and to be honest, im only on for like, 1 hour a day, i was just home form school that week so i racked up a bunch of posts. And to answer your question, no, i dont really have i life, id get one, but hten who would you all mock and make fun of?

My old night job was giving me rashes and the whatnot so I had to quit.

Last summer I worked at a cherry sorting place thing and it sucked. Well, i worked from 5 until 3 am so i had the day all for the beach and stuff. A lot of kids from my school worked there as well.

I'm going to have to stop mooching off of my parents for gas and whatnot. I might try and get all my courses done in the summer so I can grad a year early from highschool. That would be nice. No job then. Thanks for reading about my life. out.

I don't really like cherries anymore by the way. They don't have the same appeal.
