A great quote from President Bush.

Or two:

1. "...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas."

2. "The American people wants a president that appeals to the angels..." Bush in his speech during the GOP convention.

 funny

The first one kind of makes sense. We can be importing stuff from Canada and Mexico. And now we are getting more from overseas, rather then canada and mexico.

I remember Letterman bringing that up once or twice. I neither know why Bush said it so loud.

These are Bush's jokes that really aren't jokes, that he thinks are funny, but really aren't funny.

"The war on terror involves Saddam Hussein because of the nature of Saddam Hussein, the history of Saddam Hussein, and his willingness to terrorize himself."

I just can't help but laugh when I read that one.

Dylflon 08-22-2003 11:36 AM

I'm curious; does any American here like having Bush as a president?

Bond 08-22-2003 02:00 PM

Re: A great quote from President Bush.

Yes, I think Bush is a great president. This topic really isn't representative of America's overall viewpoint on Bush. It's more ignorance.

Dylflon 08-22-2003 02:21 PM

I don't get what is to like about Bush. He spends billions of dollars of taxpayer's money and other money to go to Iraq and bomb them. As we have recently found out, there were no weeapons of mass destruction. So this proves previous theories that he's gone there for the oil. He's stealing oil and killing innocent Iraqi citizens.

There will never be any proof of that (unless Bush admits that himself). Besides, WMD or not, Saddam had to go. Haven't you heard of his mass grave yards, or his torchure chambers? Even the prison cells for children? The people of his country went into malnutrition because of what he did. There are Americans dying in Iraq, but it's worth it. I don't care why the U.S. went to Iraq, all I know is that the Middle East, and the world, is a better place without him. He didn't just pose a threat to the U.S., he posed a threat to the entire world. I hope they find him and kill him.

Dylflon 08-22-2003 02:58 PM

Ya. Saddam should be dead.

I just find the fact that over the last 10 years around 500,000 Iraqi children have died due to the bombs the U.S. have dropped disturbing.

I would always like to see some proof to back up that statement. I've researched this issue countless times and I have never heard such a large figure as 500,000.

And please don't get into this whole thing how the war with Iraq was unjust. We've been over that so many times it's ridiculous.

Dylflon 08-22-2003 03:47 PM

I probably shouldn't have said fact. It's a scientific estimate that they talked about on Bowling for Columbine, a documentary about gun control in America.

Professor S 08-22-2003 05:09 PM

I can't count the number of times I have posted all of the REAL reasons why we went to war and proved how it was completey justfied both legally and morally. I won't bother to post them again because it has become quite obvious that Bush haters only care about two things: hating Bush and pushing their agenda regardless of the massive logic holes.

This why I hate liberals. They are so high off the smell of their own s**t that they ignore ANY argument that does not coincide with their ideals, regardless of its validity.

Sorry to double post, but Bowling for Columbine is NOT a documentary as documentaries are meant to document reality, and not twist it to fit trhe directors left-wing crusades. Michael Moore is one of the most corrupt "journalists" in the world today. In Bowling for Columbine he changed dates, took quotes out of context to manipulate speech to fit his agenda, and outright LIED throughout the movie. If you like I will post the links that take him to task on a point by point basis.

Rndm_Perfection 08-22-2003 05:15 PM

Isn't Michael Moore a communist? A real communist? 'Tis as I have heard.

Bond 08-22-2003 06:09 PM

Re: A great quote from President Bush.

Michael Moore does support Castro's communist regime in Cuba and has supported communist groups. But he's more of an extreme left-wing liberal.

Get over yourself.

You can't say the politcal party you support has never done the same?

You can't say they lie to support their bull**** agendas? HM?

OH! OH! Iraq has weapons of mass desturction. THEY HAD NOTHING! Nothing. Yet Bush rolled on in. We're liberating the people he says. If you call murdering liberating then sure. The U.S. has killed countless numbers of Iraqi citizens. Because they might have weapons? That was their freaking excuse for rolling in there. It's all about the conquest for money. Oil. Black ****ing gold.

There aren't weapons of mass destruction. They lied to push their agenda. They're no better if they're not worse.

The government tells the citizens of America to hate the French. The frecnh knew what was going on. They said no to the war for good reasons.

Now the Americans are taking the oil rigs the French built and saying that if the French don't pay them they're taking them. That's almost like taking hostages. The first things the U.S. troops did was secure the damn oil rigs.

How lives per gallon Bush?

Ah like Bond said amd I said before, we have gone over this many times and I have already posted BEFORE the multitude of ways in which the US was justified. But I guess you either didn't bother to read them or just decided to ignore tham once you did. Thank you for being the perfect example of what I'm talking about.

I assume you think I'm a Republican, I'm not, but even so the Republican party and the Domocratic party are expected to push their ideals. Michael Moore positions himself as a documentarian, when he is really a propoganda artist second to only Leni Reifenstahl. I would not have a problem with him if he did not try to call himself a truth teller. He is not. He is a downright liar who will do whatever it takes to push his left-wing views.

If I am a hopocrit, then you are an ignoramous as you would rather remain ignorant to any facts that don't push your agenda.

Hey look, I'm still repeating myself to those who won't listen. How pointless.

Dylflon 08-23-2003 02:30 PM

Oh...my...god.

The reason you can't argue about politics is that everyome is so willing to fight for what hey believe in. They refuse to change their views. As you do and I do. We won't take anything you or I say and agree with it because we have completely opposite views. We can't change how the other feels.

That's why wars start.

I'm just going to drop this whole thing. I still don't agree with you nor will I ever. You may think I'm stupid but I also may think the same of you. I could yell at you more and tell you what I think but I will not.

Don't for a second think Le French acted with any noble actions in staying out of the war in Iraq. Their actual motives for staying out of the war were as bad as the united states actual reasons for entering the war.

Ok, whatever lets you sleep better. I've backed up my views with facts countless times, facts you won't even bother looking at, and you just have baseless opinion. In the end, all you have is what you "think". If you had anything beyond "war is stupid" and "Bush is bad" I would gladly listen. Also, this whole "arguing is pointless" stance you have suddenly adopted is not fooling anyone. You have only come across this so recently because you have found your opinion has nothing to back it up.

Get informed, then come back.

Exactly my point. Until he shows me ANY factual basis for his arguments, then I will respect them. Until then, he's just babbling.

Dyflon, please find ANY information that says that Bush is warring against law abiding Iraqi citizens, not Hussein sympathetic paramilitary, and is currently stealing oil from Iraq.

Would you be saying the same thing if you grew up in Iran, Iraq, or for that matter, Israel?

War is bad. Simple as that.

Unless you're a little more Orwellian and you think WAR IS PEACE and FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. In that case I won't even bother beginning to wrap my brain around your logic.

Well, I think the war was unjustified.

Bush is spending millions on a campaign that is quickly turning into this millenium's Vietnam. And the first thing his millitary did was to send troops in to the oil fields, ostentatiously to "keep Saddam from blowing them up."

Sure MiniBush. Of course.

However, give the man some credit. He did not embark on this campaign simply to kill Iraqi citizens. Had he wanted to do that, we would have simply pressed the little red button on his desk... he wanted the oil.

And what is you Americans' problem with the French?

They stayed out of the war because the UN didn't approve of the war!
You're probably going to say that they stayed out because they were selling things to Saddam, etc.

Well so was the USA. Before the Gulf War, Saddam was an US ally, against Iran. The US sent him weapons, etc, including the gas that he eventually used to kill thoudands of Iraqi Kurds.

Same as the story in Afghanistan with the Mudjhadeen.

I have an idea. Instead of pointing out every single little grammatical and misinformed sentence Bush ever made and make a huge ****ing deal out of it. Let's look at the issues and how he is dealing with them.

Seriously, the damn demorcratic retards have nothing better to do than ridicule him. Personally I don't like Bush that much but this is incredibly ridiculous how some arrogant people are bashing him.
