GameTavern has had this current style for a fair amount of time. (The style being our color scheme) So Neo and I have considered three options as to what to do with the color scheme, and we were wondering what your opinions were on the matter. We have listed three options in which you can vote on, please only select one. Feedback is welcome.

I for one think our current scheme is excelent and that the nice blue was thought up by a very smart [and good looking] person. :)

i voted for leaving it as is...but i wouldnt mind seeing a new look...

This is fine. I personally wouldn't care if GT never changed.

Is it too much work to put it as a choice under the Style option? If it is, I don't have any objections either way we go. As long as it isn't too horrible looking.

Also, I'm including some pics of the old GT look. (For the noobs, or anyone who forgot what the old look was) For some reason I never deleted them off the HD, and they are the best examples I could find.

I voted "go back" but just change it. It doesn't have to be the old one, but anything with a dark background would be better than this.

I agree with Stony on this one. I wouldn't mind it going back, I liked it with the dark background.

I say go back, I liked the black and red better than any look...

but, if somthing new, go with Green and Black... because, um, no reason :sneaky:

I didn't vote. I like this one cuz it's brighter. I guess I don't mind the darker, gloomilier look of old GT. It's just that now it's a little easier on the old eyes. Meh, I'll keep coming here no matter what you decide.

The old gloomy color scheme totally sucked. It was changed for a reason.

If this is getting boring, change it, but keep it light. Dark colors are just like... ugh. Screw that dark stuff. It's horrible.

Yeah thats the reason we changed it. A few of us chatted together and thought it was too gloomy.

It's called Game TAVERN, make it like a tavern. I really liked the black and red. I mean, nothing is worse than the pink and purple, but I'm not thrilled with gray and PERIWINKLE. Darker background, and DITCH THE PERIWINKLE.

Yeah, it's pretty default too, a lot of forums use these colors. Not that it matters really. I voted for the old look but if that doesn't win, can we change the look anyways?

I think it should stay this way. Like others have said, the red and black one was too gloomy. Blue is nice, and it's my favorite color :).

But if it's going to change, it could be like the very first GT look, when ND was just closing. I think it was brown and green, with a white background. I may be wrong. Help me if I am.

Well a lot of forums may use blue and white, but this is not a default. It took some searching through a hex chart to find the right blue.

And maybe some *inspiraton* came from TXB's old forum colors.

Who cares what a lot of other forums use?

Changing the forum colors just to be different than what everyone else is doing is really, really stupid.

"Hey, everyone else wears nice new clothes, so I should stick to wearing old, dirty, ripped-up sh*t."

Nice logic.

If the bulk of GT users want to change the colors, then fine, but changing them just to get away from the general flow of what other forums are doing doesn't make any sense. The focus should be on GameTavern and what the GT forum members want, not on what's going on everywhere else on the internet.

When you quoted me, you forget to include the succeeding sentence that said, "Not that it matters really." :)

I think we're going to keep this current style at least until vB3 gold is released and then decide what we'll do after that.
