Who believes in teenage love?
Who here believes that teenagers are capable of actually loving someone of the opposite sex? I don't mean bare attraction based on the other's pysical appearance but actual love.
I'll post what I think...later...at some point....in the future... *shrugs and walks away* |
Love is created through circumstance. For a couple, love might be best sparked during teenage years.
However, I believe most (if not close to all) teenage relationships are destined to fail. EDIT: Girls also make me horny O_o. |
Re: Who believes in teenage love?
Well it really depends on the maturity of the teenager. There are smarter teenagers out there than others that can make the right decision about love. And then there are stupider kids who make the mistake of having unprotected sex and ruining there live just by that one night. Teenager have their whole lives to decide when to marry, they can wait...
Girls make me horny O_o |
*walks back in*
Well, I used to believe that any romace between anyone younger than like 21 was nothing more than two immature idiots who couldn't control the sexual urges that they were suddenly feeling towards the opposite sex. And the fact that I went through seventh and eighth grade feeling that and being fully capable of ignoring them. But certain recent complications, some of you know what I'm talking about (and its really not hard to figure out what it could be), have made me rethink my position on it. So I'm not sure. I'm leaning toward yes, teenagers are capable of feeling true love, but... Still thinking. Anyway... *shrugs and walks away* |
I think it is possible. But I think it is very, very rare to find true love as a teenager. IMO, most teens are just horny :D.

Re: Who believes in teenage love?
Teenagers can love of course, they just have a harder time dealing with and understanding it. Mainly they are just horny. Guys especially who are about 17-18. I'm 25 now and though I still love the ladies, I can feel a definite difference. I'm not the hormone crazed guy I was at 17.
|
I don't think our bits and pieces are completely together yet... you can't have true undying love yet.
Girls make me horny as well. o_O |
Re: Who believes in teenage love?
option a and d.

Well, my parents met when they were 17 years old. They didn't really date seriously at the time, and they certainly didn't talk marriage then. But they did eventually marry, and some twenty years later, they are still together.
Of course, they had just recently come in from Vietnam, so their environment was very different. Maybe living in Vietnam just forces you to grow up fast in order to earn money and take care of all your younger siblings. I'm 18, but I don't think I'm controlled by my hormones now. I certainly was back when I was 14, but at this point...well, you all know what my feelings on girls are. Good looks are nice, but great conversation is better. And if she has any interest in fiction writing...:D And I know my roommate is capable of real love. He was 19 up until recently. Then again, my roommate and I are definitely on the older side of the teenage spectrum. |
What is love though? Many people argue it's just a feeling caused by hormones so we will reproduce. Most of the teenagers I know(friends and rest) aren't any where near capable of handling a full relationship. That's why they're never dating the same partner for more than 6 months.
I personally believe it's better to wait until a person's a bit older to pursue a relationship(unless you're in it for the sex) I'm planning on not having a kid until i'm atleast 30. |

I think any person is capible of loving another at any age... but being "in love" is somthing most people never grow to mature to. Age has nothing to do with it in my opinion. |
Yes, I do believe in teenage love, but I also know that it is rare. Most relationships I hear about today are lucky if they last a month..but then you have the few that last up to 6 months..if they're lucky. I've been going out with my boyfriend Jason for 8 months now, and we're still going strong. We're also not one of those "let's go out just to have sex and let's call it love" relationships. I'm not saying that if you have sex in a relationship, that you're not in love, I just hear that a lot now'a'days. What I'm trying to say is that I do believe in teenage love. I feel that I'm in love, but I will also only be 16 in September. One more thing... I've noticed pretty much every post says "Girls make me horny", well I beg to differ. Girls do not make me horny. :p

Besides, many couples just don't have what it takes to raise a kid when they've just turned 20. The emotional ****ing up caused by having a kid is handled better by someone who's atleast gotten through their post secondary education and have gotten a bit stronger financial situation. I don't want to make my wife give up her career(or my career) because of a baby at an earlier age. Hell, i might even adopt a child. The physical **** ups that women get almost don't seem worth it. |

and bouncer_agb, if you decide to adopt a kid, make sure you tell him first that he was adopted rathar then him finding out on his own. |
I'm 17 right now. I fell in love with my girlfriend a good while ago. Now, you don't have to believe that, but I know it.
But there is an immature love, as well as a mature love in my opinion (and I'm not referring to infatuation). We started out on the immature side of things. But we've grown. A lot. We separated for a while and are now back together. Completely smitten with each other. So, I guess... Heh, that's my (short) rant. |

Good point, but I dont think I could REALLY love an adopted child as much as I could my own. It would just be differnt...knowing he/she didnt come from you...besides, having a child is kind of one of my goals...sorta. |

But seriously... people need to think of others before they put themselves in "revealing" situations. |
I'm a female, but still, I agree. That's just wrong. I'm 5'7" and about 130 lbs. So no offence taken from me. You should have seen this one chick trying to play hockey. I looked out the window, and there she was in shorts and a tank top running around and stuff..playing hockey. I mean, don't get me wrong, some of the nicect people i know are "over weight", but I'm just saying pretty much what Rndm_Perfection said..some people just don't belong wearing certain things. I hope that I also did not offend anyone.

i feel all of your pain.
one time i was bodysurfing and i would "accidentally" crash into hot chicks. since its all accidental they dont suspect a thing. a fine activity if your in the mood to bang into some breast. just use stratagy and coordinate yourself across the water using your hormonal sonar skills to lock on to your next babe. but anyway sometimes mother nature isn't good to me and the wave shifts me into fat chick(s) . whats worse is sometimes they fall on top of you. ::shakes head:: its quite devastating. thats my nightmare at the beach |

At my friend's school if you go down to the 6th grade area, a ton of 6th grade girls are wearing the same damn stuff... "Look at me I have pants that end half a centimeter below my ass"... 6th graders! And it's no better with the older ones... "Look at me, I'm a slut :) " KIDS THESE DAYS! *shakes fist* *falls down the stairs and breaks a hip* |

Teenage love is possible.
The only problem is teens are usually in high school. Most high school kids don't know **** about **** in the real world, even though they all think they do. So you may be in love in high school, but once you leave high school and go to college or start working, most people's lives and personalities and culture completely change. And it's hard to stay in love when two teens are changing so much. |
