Depends on the type of game...

For sports/fighting:

1. Lasting appeal
2. Gameplay
3. Sound
4. Presentation
5. Graphics

For other games:
1. Gameplay
2. Presentation
3. Lasting appeal
4. Sound
5. Graphics

if nudity was a category I'd put nudity over sound :B

Hmm... I'd say:
1. Gameplay
2. Lasting Appeal
3. Presentation
4. Graphics
5. Sound

All the aspects combined, but with gameplay being the deciding factor IMO.

First of all, if the presentation is ****ty, why play it? Next, Gameplay. Because that is the game. Third, my ears need to be severly satisfied to enjoy anything. Graphics are next. They have to be nice but not unenjoyable. And finally, lasting appeal. I somewhat buy a game for this, but if it isn't fun in the first place, this one is frigging awfully painful if the game sucks and there's hidden extras you must see, or whatever. I think it's potentially the worst out of all of them.

Bad Religion 05-21-2003 05:29 PM

regarding lasting appeal... i'd rather be blown away by a great 12hr game than a mediocre scavenger hunt for 30hrs... then trade it in and get another one... if i had way more time and more limited funds, i think lasting appeal would be more important though....
