this game looks amazing...
|
yea. dats what im talkin bout. altho i would like pics with a differnt car then that one. hehehe looks amazingly beautiful.
The New steering wheel really intregues me too. might have to get the new one. maybe trade in my old one. hehe. sounds awsome tho. 900 degree steering radious. they say you actually have to spin it a few times like a real steering wheel. much Stronger force Feedback. and a shifter !! woohoo! maybe they'll add a clutch to the floor pedals too :) This is the only game i been waiting for at E3, if i had it my way.... E3 would be GTE (Gran Turismo Expo) |

   @ Impreza shot
|
I'd prefer to see it in action before I draw any conclusions, but I'm sure the gameplay won't be at fault. The canyon shot looks absaloutley terrible IMO, but again, I must see a video before deciding anything....
|
watch a video. i know what your sayin when its still like that you can sit there and pick it apart and notice whats game produced and whats a picture.
But when all that is flowing by you at the high speeds in the game. looks breath taking. |
i was underwhelmed with the game in motion...looks exactly like gt3

didnt play gt3 much?
as far as graphics go. i could see an instant improvment. not so much with the cars. but with the backgrounds and invironment they drive in. the cities and courses are VERY detailed. they say in the New York track you can go by and see ever store and building like mcdonalds in thier right spot as you wiz by them. many of the courses arent cut by tree's everywhere making you feel closed in. they're wide open where you can see for quite a ways away. as far as graphics go for the cars and such. there are improvments on detail. but this is more of a GT to GT2 leap. where the amount of content will be greatly improved. im hearing a lot on how the car phisics and AI have improved, and loads more options. |

I am a Subaru nut, and if the STI is in this game as the images depict, I will be forced to buy a PS2 and this game.
|

|
I still wanna c movies of it. |

omg i watched one in a canyon setting that was AMAZING...i saw one in new york that looked exactly like gt3...hmmm whats up with that
|
i dunno which new york one you saw. but the vids ive seen make it one of the best.
if you look at the pics stu posted above at the building with the windows, the whole city is like that. All the windows shiny and reflect, ever building so detailed. i mean if you lived in NY on that road. you'd be able to find wher eyou live. they went thro and put like everything in there thats really there. See the buildings reflect off the cars. IMO best looking course of them all i've seen. |
The last picture is the shiznit.
Except for the blocky scenery at the bottom. |
It is looking awsome, dude!!!
|
I wonder if Polyphony Digital is using some kind of image integrating system for GT4. I don't know why, but I can't see the PS2 doing the canyon background in full 3D rendering. I doubt any console can do it. But thats just IN MY OWN OPINION

The graphics aren't a concern at all for me anymore...I've seen the game, it looks fantastic...all I want to know about know is the car list and gameplay modes (obviously online being the most intriguing) |
I am pretty sure those are ingame shots...
|
The Canyon shot doesn't look that great. The scenary looks nice but the rocks to the left of it looks like utter ****.
|
all im going to say is :WHOA:
