The unit will be bundled with FFXI and cost 79 dollars.

So basicly you pay 30 dollars for the HD when you buy the game. A steal ain't it??

As a matter of fact cheaper than a memory card... and I heard somebody say that add-ons fail... Me thinks Sony will prove everybody exceptionaly stupid.


IMPORTANT
ps2 hdd, contains some extra aplications for ps2, online navigation, play online music and edit family photos, like japanese version.

if more games utilize the HDD, I'll glady pick up FFXI for US$79!

But...if this goes into the expansion bay, where does the Network Adapter go?

the HD probably slips in behind the NA... in fact, I'm sure it does. The pic must have a NA connected to a HD.

By the way, when is FFXI due to release?

No idea where Network Adapter goes...

And if Gran Turismo 4 (cars, track, updates) aren't worth the extra 30$ then I don't know what is.

Well, on the back of the NA it says HDD I think... So it will probably somehow go into it or somethin.g

Wow... I can't believe its this cheap! I am definitely buying it and getting FFXI now!

beta is released this June, I believe a Fall 2003 public release is what Square Enix is hoping for. Mostly depends on how the beta goes, but you can probably count on it being released before 2004 at least.

it kinda makes me want to play FFXI on my ps2 instead of the pc like i was planning... it just seems right to play it on ps2 :) besides, it' so cheap!

It would be funny if it were only 4 gigs.. because the 0 is not really visiible in the pic...lol

Addons as in new game systems adding onto the others.
aka 64 DD 32x SegaCD etc.

a HD id call a perephial (sp?) like a controller or mem card.




But the HD does indeed look good and sounds to be at the right price.

In a ways I would rather just get the HD seperately as it could cost me $135+cdn after taxes for the bundle.

This Hard-Drive is OPTIONAL... I for one will NOT be getting it. People here are intrested. If this was a built in feature in the console then I completly disagree and protest against the idea.

I for one; know Stu likes the idea of a HD in a console so that's why I'm telling him the benefits.

Unless you want a full featured GT4, and/or FFXI

I was reading up on FFXI... I was wondering if any people here want to form a little Clique???

I think it would be cool to start one, and when our levels get high enough, invite newbies in, build them up, then they could owe thier whole lives to us ;)

cool, I guess we should take one guy from each class, so we have a well balanced team. The only thing is, is this whole game human vs nature?

If so I really hope they ad on a patch in the future for Human vs Human fighting.
