The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Countdown!
A new legend is about to be told..
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will be released in North America on March 25, 2002. There are 13 days left until you can get your hands on this game! GamePro reviewed the game. It got a 5.0 straight across the board, but one 4.5 in control. Have there been any other sources to review this game? If so, please post it here! Now, to keep the thread alive: Who has preordered the game? |
I have ....
... yeah. |
Yup, the pre order receipt is in my room. :D
|
Well, EGM has reviewed the game, it got scores of 9.5,10.0 and 10.0, awarded a Gold Medal as well as Game of the Month honor.
It was also reviewed in GaneNOW magazine and got a A+ I also have the game on pre-order and that is when I get my bonus disc as well. |
Yea I pre-ordered...I cant wait
|
I want it now!... So I can actually get some use out of my NGC...
|
I don't have it preordered, but i plan to buy it.
|
I preordered.. but never got the disc. But I'm glad I have something down for WW or I wouldn't be able to get it for weeks around here. Most preorder places were dead full.
|
I have it pre-ordered. I'm more excited about Pokémon (3-17) and GBA SP (3-23) right now though so after next Monday I'll post something indicating my excitement regardig Wind Waker. I've been playing OoT, its really fun.
|
I preordered it and just bought a new controller (remember, my others aren't working correctly) :D
*shrugs and walks away* |
I have pre-ordered it and I cant wait for it to come in. In the mean time, I'm playing Xenosaga, w00t!! Xenosaga rules!
|
I preordered it! The bonus disk is a nice bonus, but had no affect on me preordering it.

12 days left...
Who's beaten MasterQuest? |
I beat just yesterday, when I bought my new controller :D
*shrugs and walks away* |
I have mine prepaid for at ebworld to be sent with groundship (it's actually not UPS ground but ups 3 day select, which sucks because they ship from louieville and a ground shipment only takes two days louieville to chicago, a 3 day select takes 3 days no matter what) I expect to have it on thursday the 27th.
|
I have not. I am going to wait and then order when it's released, coz I might go with the wrong importing company, then have to wait 10 years.
So once it's officially out, I'll get it then *hopes it don't sell out* |
11 days left
I was late on that one :sneaky: |
I decided to Play the origional OOT first for old-time sake, I beat that a few days ago, and now Im about to enter the forest temple in MQ.

Er GameInformer gave it a 10 for the main review and a 9.75 for the secondary review.
|
I have the game pre ordered but I wont be able to get it because I have no money. I used the money for Zelda to buy Xenosaga.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! ![]() |
Have a nice time getting drunk.. :p
|
Happy StPats
About 15 days left (for me coz I have to import). |
I wont be getting my Wind Waker until the end of the month, because I'm orderign Nintendo's bundle, and I probably wont get it sent out until later this week. :(
|
Might I suggest trying to beat it on your own before relying on the Strategy Guide. It's more fun when you can accomplish something on your own.

![]() ![]() Well, Bobblehead isn't included, but cool that it's got the gold theme and the weird writing on the disc. |
While I'm mad the game still won't be a gold cart (for obvious reasons), I've got the game preordered, and just beat Master Quest yesterday or the day before (I forget).
IMO, the Spirit Temple has officially replaced the Water Temple as the world's most aggrevating Zelda 64 level... Anyways, I preordered this thing LONG ago (long before the Mario official preorders started), so I had to go back home and get my reciept to prove I'd preordered the game in full to get the Ura Zelda disc... I was a bit pissed off at that, but considering my local Babbages' changed two managers in that time, I can sorta feel them on that... At least the disc is gold (like the first copies of Zelda's Adventure for Cd-i), so it still has somewhat of a nostalgic appearance... -Official Ninja of [coming soon]... |
Where do you get a bobblehead?
|
I've seen Babbage's selling these Nintendo themed bobble heads. I guess that's the Link one. I've never really payed attention to them so...

But for the sake of arguement, a console consisting of cartridge slots would have a much better seek time, and if compressed, 90 hours worth of FMV could be stored instantaneously to a harddrive for playback in-game. In other words, the ultimate console would've been an N64 with an HD, or an Xbox with a cart slot realistically, though prices would've been sky-high again ($70 for games and such). But you'd get what you pay for (NO LOADTIMES, in-game saves, no memory cards, no noise of the console "spinning up", etc). It's all relative technical thinking, really...;) -Official Ninja of [coming soon]... |
