hey since u said the title of that topic sucked started another :D need help, should i play thomas' chapter after geoddes or choose not to/

Play through Thomas' chapters, definitely. You need to do it before doing all 3 chapters for Geddoe, Chris and Hugo. I would do it soon... but it doesnt really matter.

and how do i install (?) the runes i got form the treasure chest battle

Before you can get to chapter 4, you must complete chapter 3 for Hugo, Chris, and Geddoe, plus Thomas' 2 chapters. So yeah, you have to do it. Thomas' chapters are fun.

to equip runes, you must go to a Magic Sage's shop. It costs a little money to equip runes, keep that in mind. Also, before you equip your runes, go to a Skills Shop that teaches Magic Skills and test your characters to find out how good they are in each type of rune.

It's not mandatory, but obviously you should.

not mandatory for what? Playing through Thomas' chapters? because it sure as hell is mandatory.

To complete Thomas's chapter so you can go to the 4th Chapter? I didn't do it on my first game. Heh :p

well whatever, you have to beat his chapters to beat the game anyway, so it doesnt really matter.

oh and since im in geoddes chapter....

should i fight that 3 (or 4 lol) headed monster first or go to lake castle like it says in the guide first?

Actually you can totally ignore his chapters if you wish, Thomas and his friends will automatically join the stars of destiny later.

The only thing you can get out of going to Lake Castle right now (assuming youre not at Chapter 3 yet), is to be able to recruit stars, but you don't really need to do that yet.

Well according to IGN PS2, you must complete Thomas' chapters in order to beat the game.

So.....meh

i just got done with Geoddes 1st chapter. im playing chris' chapter, is it ok if i save over the file for geoddes chapter or not?and i still dont have the ability to play thomas' chapter....do u get his once u beat the 1st chapter for all three/

You get to pla yThomas' chapter when you go to Lake Castle. And yes, save over the Geddoe one.

does it matter what order i play in?so far ive gone geodde, chris, hugo....but the guide on gamefaqs says to go in this order:

Hugo 1
Chris 1
Geddoe 1
Thomas 1
Chris 2
Hugo 2
Geddoe 2
Hugo 3
Thomas 2
Geddoe 3
Chris 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5


what do u all think?btw, im liking the game more and more, but the battle system is still a tad bit confusing, the way they move around i mean, and the little bars at the bottom.

As far as I've come to understand, the order really doesn't matter. But sometimes you'll be like "WTF?" in some chapters, then when you play another character's chapter youll be like "Ah, I understand". But really, just play in whatever order you want. Obviosuly though, Chapters 4 and 5 cant be completed until all chapter 3's have been done.

hmm can u revive a fallen character in battle?i still havent found out how...

also when the hell do i get to recruit?i still havent been to lake castle and im in ch 2 chris

1. There is a rune that has a revive spell I think, I forgot the name of it though. I'm pretty sure that's the only way.

2. Go to Lake Castle, then youll be able to recruit characters. But if you do with Chris, you wont be able to recruit characters with Geddoe, well, you can, but you'd need to go Lake Castle again.

The revive spell is called Mother Ocean or something, you can use it on a powerful water rune (I forget the name of it) or on the True Water rune.

i dont understand the recruiting thing :( i just walked into the castle with chris and i still havve no idea how to recruit, and that damned castle is so big its like a frikkin maze!!

on a side note THIS GAME ROCK!!!the story is great!

To recruit characters, you must find them. there are many optional recruit characters, just look around. or use a guide.

Hmmm, I forget, is there the "Scream" spell in Suikoden III? Or is that just II?

Must only be in Suikoden II, I've never seen "Scream" in Suikoden III.

Ah, yep... Well, it's from the "Resurrection Rune". Actually, I mixed up Scream and Yell. Scream heals all party members by 300, and Yell resurrects a fallen member.

Well, I liked Thomas' chapters. They were fun and pretty cool. They're not that long.

what the **** is a sacrifcial Jizo?whats it do?!!?!?

and should i put one on every char?also should i put some medicine on every char invent or not?

oh and why the hell is queen not fighting?i was fighting the golem and the person she was paired up with died....all i could use was defend !! and even when her partners alive she moves around, but does not fight. gay

Try re-organizing the party. Oh... and I usually have like medicines for every pair. I forget what the sacrifical jizo is.

hey should i put skill pts into a fire skill?will it help whichever chare has the true fire rune?

if you improve a character's skill with fire, their effectiveness with fire based attacks increases.

looks like im raisin it. IMO the true lightning rune is better so far just because all the attacks dont hurt u. with the true fire rune they all hurt u lol. hmm maybe the last one or two skills dont dmg allies.

and i cannot beleive what happend in the begining of chap 4. did NOT expect that!

IMO, the true fire rune sucks, especially when compared to the true lightning rune which is easily the best of the true runes.

True Wind is easily the best. Not only is it the most powerful, but like the True Lightning it doesn't hit you.

well, out of water, fire, and lightning, the true lightning is the best by far. But yeah, True wind is better...

yeah, it adds a lot of reply value to the game. As the things you do and what is said is slightly different between each of the Flame Champions

hmm...do u think i should max out fire skill for Geddoe or just boost his otehr stats more?hugo has the lightning rune now by default.

and i want to let u know that every time i run into Yuber, Sarah, Bishop, and the masked man i **** myself lol. those bastards are TOUGH!

Yuber, Masked Man, and Sarah are nearly impossible to beat. But it can be done.

I wouldn't just focus on Geddoe's fire skill, try to raise as much as his other skills as possible.

Btw, the Masked Man is the bishop, who you're probably confusing with Albert, the guy wit hthe reddish hair and silver coat.
