-_- Bad stuff as usual.. This sucks a lot.. I don't really know what to say.
|
My mom woke me up this morning to tell it about it. It's sad. There were almost home.
|
The space shuttles are ticking time bombs. Columbia was manufactured in 1979! The technology aboard the space shuttles is so outdated it's ridiculous. The fact is that we have the new technology to build safer and more technologically advanced shuttles, but no one wants to fund it. It's pure politics. What it comes down to is that it will take a tragic event like this to get people to wake up.
It is a sad day. |
They said they have almost no clue how this could have happened. They repeatedly delayed the mission for safety and such....
|
I heard about it this morning. Its sad, but with old technology, it was bound to happen someday. And I heard that the other 2 major disasters occured around this time also. (Jan. 27th & Jan. 28) Interesting :sneaky:

OMG LOOK!
President Bush blew it up with his missle defense system, and now is saying Iraq did it, and is going to start a nuclear war over it!!! OMG!!! Sorry, I was trying to be Almansurah  Carry on. |

They said it's too early to speculate on the cause.

umm i think a black box will be usless when ur going 12,500 mph
|
What I heard was that there was ice somewhere on the shuttle before launch, and when they launched the ice hit one of the wings and did something to the tiles on it. Well that could have been the cause, but they aren't sure. But if this was the cause then, just like when the Challenger blew up, it was caused because of the weather being too cold.

Iraq says crash was God's vengeance
Almansurah should like this.

When shuttles come into the atmosphere they are going 5 miles a SECOND. Thats Mach 18! I agree that the use of old equipment is what caused the accident. No matter how well the shuttles were made or how much maintenance they go through, even a space shuttle has its limits when put under such forces so many times. I hope this causes more money to be invested into the space program rather than less, or tragedies like this will happen again.
It is a sad day. |

this situation really stinks... :( in which it had a first time israelian in space, so i guess that must mean that the job offer for becoming an astronaut wont be an option anymore.... anywho, just whole things just sucks hopefully nasa or whoever will come to the bottom of this and find out about what really happened, that and the craft was made in the 1970's sheesh~!!

I found out about this on the day it occured and felt bad. I mean, you live your whole life and work hard to go to school and have a future with your children but it all goes goodbye just because of a accident. This is sad, their life deserved better. |
