Anyways, thoughts? All I can see right now is great crashing... crashing... boom... crash....... rip... boom.... more crashing, then booming. Then some kabooming. I get first dibs on organizing the funeral. :sneaky: EDIT: Btw.. I finally have a console to make fun of! And I won't be affected because there's going to be no fans to kill me! Joy! |
Oh my! Look how much marketshare is left for this console: 0.00565%!
|
wtf, these people are just wasting time and money
|
I don't understand...why do they even bother?
|
They think they can take the online gaming fad and revolutionize it. Yeah, right.
|
One word: lol.
|
Clouded by old ways, our minds are.
Chance of great success, this console has. |
Probably not true. And it has about as much chance of gaining market as a handheld made by Nestle.

anyhoo...lol...pretty funny...if they mean that you cna play any game you wnat off their servers (which i would say is imposible now) then hell yeah it would beat all the current systems... but for now...just lol.... |
Wow, I can't stop laughing...
HAHAH! http://www.infiniumlabs.com/ This is so damn gay! Watch out guys , its the Phantom! I'll call this one the new Jaguar 2.... |
Ok you can tell they did very little marketing research unless they want to make a tax loss.
And it sounds like they want to introduce it before the next generation of consoles enters the market. It's bad idea. I wonder if they will actually go though with this?? |
Their site says their console should be in about 70% of all homes. Not just homes with consoles, 70% of all homes.
"There are currently 32,679 retail game titles available and 418 shareware game titles and this does not include; adult, casino, sequels and new releases in past 6 months." What does that mean? They are stealing every game ever made and charging a fee? |
Heh heh heh...after rummaging around their website, I realize that a lot of what they say makes no sense. How the hell can they have 32,000 games? It makes me laugh. They will get no develpor suppourt. If they think they can make games or hire someone who can make good games, they are crazy. But nintendo revolutionized the gaming industry way back when...I guess anything is possible...but this is just halarious...

Squaresoft and Capcom are joining forces to become a second party developer for the Phantom! There first project will be a game called Chrono May Cry which will be exclusive for the Phantom................................ |
lol
If you think about it, look at the console itself. What a piece of ****! How is that appealing to people? And look at the controller: AAUG! It looks so painful! It's horrible! I think they should PAY us money to play this crap. The controllers like a really horrible rendition of the original Xbox controller which I love: but even more blocky. I don't know what's funnier... the fact that nobody knows who the hell the guys these are, or the fact they probably can't make a game for jack. I also have this little bird nagging me that this isn't real. I don't know what to think. |
Why do we all of a sudden associate the console with the most power as geared towards the hard-core gamer? Im a hard-core gamer and I don't feel urged to buy the most powerful thing around. Damn Microsoft and their brainwashing of people.

Haha, whoever thought of the phrase "Online gaming is only a fad" is a genius.
|
They probaly had a wad of money that they thought gee what should we blow it on...I know lets build a video game console that only 5 people will buy....
|
 That thing is funny! :D
What do they mean with 'Cross Platform capabilities'?? It plays every game of any system??? They're gonna get soooo busted! :p |

I'm basically speechless. I mean at least Indrema and Nuon had some valid ideas: Indrema was to be built on Linux, be open-source for small developers, and make money back on hardware licensing. Nuon had a similar strategy, but was backed by the fact that Nuon was more than just a way to play some ****ty Jaguar sequels on a custom DVD player. It was actually an entirely new compression technology that's still used today... and it was open source too. I don't see anybody jumping onto this. If, say, I were a small development house I'd make one of my 32,000 retail games for a royalty free PC or go through Microsoft's Incubator program. Or transplant to Japan, tell Microsoft I want to make an Xbox game then have them subsidize me. But mostly I'd do PC. Indrema and Nuon at least promised some sort of open source to the loons that wanted to port Shogo Mobile Armor Division. Is this even really a game machine? It sounds like it could if Broadband was in wider use, or functioned like a Digital Cable Box, or it was some sort of set-top box you plug your Xbox or PS2 in and download an Xbox or PS2 game to your system. Or something. But I would think Microsoft will or would just do that with XboxNext. That said I'll gladly take over the Phantom section of Gametavern. :D |
lmfao.... I wonder how hard I will laugh at a Phantom Phanboy
:p Just kidding, we will see how it preforms, and what games it's released with... then I will judge. If it is released with a Madden game (and a reasonable price), chances are that I will buy it :D |

I'm with you... this system has great potential. *thinks* A system in which you don't have to leave your home to get a game... you just have to order it. Hmmm, that'll keep me inside forever! Methinks this console may rely too heavily on mass cooperation, however. As well, it would be an expensive investment, but very worthwile if it picks up. *drools* This system gives new lengths to piracy! You can all laugh at the CD-I wannabe, but I'll look forward to its success. Think of the possibilities! |
