a balrog is a demon of the ancient world and its from the Lord of the Rings.

And it's also an enemy from various videogames and such...

But of course LotR is older so yeah :p

So in the Japanese version, Vega was called Balrog? That's just wack! I did like in SF2 when you absolutley hammered Vega (E-Honda's 100-hand-slap or whatever it was seemed to help), you could make him lose his claw and I believe his mask also...?

If you have the Japanese version of CVS2, you'll see that Balrog is Vega, Vega is M Bison, and MBison is Balrog :confused: :unsure:
