New pokemon game... or whatever it is
A new pokemon game Nin fans!! Rejoice!!
http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...561103,00.html Celebrate while I go :Puke: in the corner. :killpika: :bat: Shrugs... I always wondered why I hate anything Pokemon related. |
If its a party game like the name says, then it will most likely suck...it'll just be another pokemon snap. If Nintendo was smart, they'd make a Pokemon RPG....
|
Announced quite a while ago. But it's the reason I have my cube...a party game featuring the pikachu reject you can't help but shove in a blender and set on "liquidate".
|
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DAMN POKEMON...GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!! AHHHH!!!!:killpika: |
Don't worry they'll have a Pokemon RPG sooner or later.

First I downloaded the emulation to see how the game was... and because it's made for little kids(whether you like it or not) I found myself punching the attack button while not even looking at the screen. Then I saw the anime... god it was terrible. The same thing in each series. 1. Ash seeks to beat a trainer and win a badget/medal basicly whatever. 2. He meets a bunch of moronic characters on the way 3.Team Rocket tries to screw up ash, and steal pokemons 4. Go pika 5. A stupid set of morals is thrown out to the kids watching. 6. Ash and and Pikachu have a beastily episode. THE END (but forgetting the other 1000+ more episodes to come with exactly the same crap) |
Anime sucks. Game good.
I think to really appriciate it you have to had played it before it got big. When the anime played at 6:30am and more people never heard of it than those who did. Ah, those were good days. |

1. The game is too easy(My biggest b!tch) 2. The overall look is a bit "kiddy" and the Pokemons is whether you like it or not is something that an adult will have a harder time to get involved in. |
Ehm the game wasn't really that easy.... I mean it wasn't hard but if you never wanted to faint (which I didn't) it was sometimes pretty though.
And the game has a 'kiddy' image, but still thousends of late-teenagers enjoyed it. I did. :D I'm 18 now and I still like it! And you're right about the anime, always the same story. I'd give away my dog when they would make an episode without Team Rocket. Man I hate those losers! But seeing all the Pokémon in action was kinda cool. |
The game is super easy...if all you want to do is play through it. If you concentrate on actually having a good team and trying to catch the right pokemon with the right DVs, and creating the perfect movesets, following the mathematical formulas involved in some of the planning (a college actually did a study on them). High levels don't mean sh*t compared to everything else.
I've seen plenty of adults playing pokemon. Though it may seem weird seeing a guy in a suit on the train going to work playing it, but at least its being enjoyed. |

Alas! Another Pokémon game!!!

:( Is happydude666 the only one who agrees with me.
Also speaking of late-teens who play pokemon... maybe they just want to feel little again, or simply enjoy it. (It's okey if your a late teen, but still shows that you are falling behind your age group because your most likely an outcast or simply miss understood) As for adults who play pokemon games, they probably have no social life and are basicly low lifes. |

I think you are more of a "low life" NOT to play such a great game because you're afraid of people saying "Ha! he's playing Pokemon" etc. It's marketed towards kids and all that, but I think the game is bloody great. So I take offence to what you said...........punk :mad2: I don't go around saying "Yeh I love Pokemon" and that, but I do occassionally play it. I only played the Pokemon on GBC. I had Gold and I thought it was awesome. I'm gonna get the new one for GBA. Long live Pokemon  PS I'm working at a subsidary company of Japan Airlines, have plenty of friends, I bought my own car about a year ago. I'm single at the moment, but I'm not really looking for a relationship now. So that totally blows off your pathetic judgement of adult pokemon players. I mean I'm not a Pokemon fan, but I like the games. |

i think that pokemon is stupid, the idea is nice, but they could really improve the game!
for example if you could acually have a choice of what to say to NPCs, and if the game acually had any AI what-so-ever, then it might've been better... |
You mean a choice like the stupid yes/no questions in GS? Man, I hated those...

Also bobcat, there are tons of Star Trek fans... but does that make the series good?? There is an infinite number of people who watch Star Wars... does it make it good. And finally there is "Big Brother" pointless, lame, and simply dumb. The whole of Europe is going crazy about it; ask yourself. DOES IT MAKE IT GOOD?? Or are people just becoming sad these days. |

Actually one comment. Try to respect other people's opinions, including your own. |

But that sounds more like an opinion of an opinion. Pointless arguement, we won get anywhere. So guys what are you expecting this party game to be like?? |
Probably an extended version of the mini games from Stadium.

What they'll most likely do is have you train your monsters on the GBA and then for GC they'll have online battling. I think it would be too difficult for that kind of fighting to make a whole world with people walking around challenging eachother. Probably just certain stadiums you can enter knowing the level of the pokemon people have in that stadium.
|
The Pokemon party part of Pokemon stadium was the ONLY thing I liked about that game... so I'm sure that is Pokemon game will be cool.
As far as Pokemon RPG coming out for Cube or future Nintendo consoles... doubtful. For two Reasons: 1. Pokemon means Pocket Monsters... key word pocket. Some of the properties of the orginal game design would not be able to be pulled off on a console. Like walking down a street, finding a complete stranger and trading with him/her. Of course, online play may be key to making a console pokemon game possible, but we all know that Nintendo isn't serious about online gaming. 2. The fact that GBA needs an exclusive title to stay on top. Believe it or not, most of GBC's and GBP's sales were made when Pokemon games were released. If The Gamecube or any future Nintendo cansole got this game, demand for Gameboys will cut so fast Nintendo's head will spin. Some people are buying Gameboys right NOW because of the future hope for a Pokemon game. I think the only way GCN or future Nintendo systems will get a pokemon RPG is if Nintendo is getting crushed into a near death on the console market. Nintendo may be saving this card for a savior of the Nintendo product name (even though it would hurt GBA at the same time). Right now, from a marketing standpoint... there is no point. If horrible games (yes, I believe they are horrible) like Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Snap can top sales charts, an RPG will take it off the charts, maybe the best seller of all time. But right now, they need to wait to pull that card. |
