Neo, I would like you to give Ric, 1000 dblns and fingersman, 2198 dblns, giving them both enough for a permanent custom rank. That'll leave me at least enough for another 8 months of Black Project too.

Reason? I think both members deserve a custom rank and I have no use for 4070 dblns. I'm happy with my Survivor Lord rank. Have fun deciding on your new ranks guys.

Well there's two problems with that statement. One, I don't have 30,000 dblns or some crazy **** like that and two, this will probably be the only time I'll give them out because chances are, I'll never get anymore ;).

Well if it wasn't for people giving them out, this system would be totally worthless. How many times have you seen people, with enough dblns from making good posts and winning contests, coming in here and spending them? Not very much. Probably slim to nill would be more accurate. So if you have a problem with it, you should ask Neo if he could lower the price of things or start giving members dblns (or chances to win dblns) a little more often. Just a suggestion.

You dont understand. If somebody wanted a perm. custom rank they come here. If they dont come in here, they dont get one. So what is your argument? If they do want one, they dont take the easy way out and get some charity. They make some good post and topics to bring it up. They earn a custom rank.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't see how that resolves people actually getting enough dblns to get those perm. custom ranks. I'm just saying if it weren't for people giving others their own dblns, the Treasure Trove forum wouldn't get much action (other than people claiming dblns for 500 posts). In other words, there aren't a lot of chances for people to earn them (except in G-trac). And not everyone can make posts that the mods would deem to be worth dblns.

Well the way I see it, Ric and fingersman made a hell of a lot of good posts that they didn't earn some dblns for, either because they made them before the system was in place or mods just didn't see it to be good, when it very well may have been. Consider it however you want, in my opinion they both have earned the right to have a permanent custom rank.

No one (from what I know) has given out dblns. for so called "Insightful" Posts. Hell, I don't think alot of us knows the definition of an "Insightful Post". But anywho. I think I smell something brewing between Ridley and GameKinG( :unsure: )

I think Ridley is right. I mean I've been a member since spring 2000 and have made thousands of posts!! I've made quite some serious-matters-threads which I think should have been awarded. They never were. I've translated things from Dutch and French for you, but never got anything back.

And even when I did win doubloons, it took months before I got them!! I remember the Golden Eye best times prices. I don't think Ric ever got his 150 doubloons by the way. And now *some people* are starting to grime aboout giving away doubloons.

If you would have blamed Shooter for something like that, I would have understand. Nobody really knows how or why he got so many doubloons. About every week he changes his rank.

I think Ric should have gotten his permanent custom rank a lot sooner. And Fingers too. And some others too. :unsure:

Oh yeah, I only got my rank a few days ago. Just for your information.

I got some for post counts, an insightful post, G-Trac, small favors, a gift from Shooter, and 13 referalls.

I deserve some for being the first regular member to earn a custom rank. :D ;)

I give 100 dblns every week to the best poster in the cube forum for that week. I think I gave 50 today for something.

Oh boohoo Angrist and Ridley. Stop complaining about the dbln system. So what you haven't gotten dblns for your so-called infromative posts. I feel that a couple of my good, informative posts have gone unrewarded, but you don't see me complaining. It just means that I have to try harder if I really want some more dblns.

Now don't get me wrong, I have gotten dblns for posts. And I am greatful for that. But, whatever. Just stop complaining, people. It is getting annoying.

First off, I wasn't the one who started the complaining. That was GameKinG. Second, in case you didn't notice, I stopped being a part of this discussion awhile ago.

Never said I wanted anything for my "so-called informative posts", I was talking about others.

Without complaining, mankind or anything else for that matter, would never advance. Women still wouldn't be allowed to vote and the US would still be a part of the British Empire, just to name a few examples. Complaining isn't necessarily always a bad thing, unless you're only looking out for yourself, which I wasn't. I was trying to help all the members of this forum by hopefully getting some tweaks to the dbln system. Plus, I usually don't say many conflicting things most of the time anyways.

Why is it when I did something once, that has been going on for months, it's suddenly become such a terrible problem?

Also, I don't know what happened with Ric's dblns, but he had 4000 when I gave him 1000. Anyways, I'm done with this discussion. You guys want to criticize me further, be my guest. I really couldn't give a damn anymore.

My bad that you were offended by this, Ridley. I am just sick and tired of people complaining. I mean, a dbln is a dbln.

And I really don't think that complaining about dblns is even comparable to the women who complained to get the right to vote and such. :rolleyes:
