Back to my illegal slave summer job....

On Monday, I start my 1 month of illegal child slave labor job working at a basketball camp's concession stand. Ok, check out how bad these hours are.. now this is 1 month, Monday - Friday, with the exception of the 4th of July.. that's the only day I get off -- my hours are: 9am to 4pm. Arg! Not only that but it's in the dead of summer in NH, when we get the hottest weather, and I have to work in a concession stand -- someone shoot me. Well, the pay ain't half bad -- $125 per week ×4 weeks = $500 bucks in the bank. There are a few good things about the job, however:

• I get to listen to the radio all day
• Free lunch
• Unlimited soda [they better have Vanilla Coke ;)]
• Unlimited hot dogs [:Puke:]
• Unlimited chips + candy [Ehh, whatever]
• I get to spend 4 more weeks back at my school [:rolleyes:]

Like I said before, someone shoot me. Actually, it's not all that bad... and it's good money, so I'm not going to complain. It's just that this job is illegal for me.. well, the hours are because I'm only 15, and I don't get any breaks.. thank god for the music.

I love vanilla coke. Its so hard to find sometimes cause people buy it up like...crazy soda drinking monkeys.

Any stand that dosnt have vanilla coke should have its manager shot.

I havent tried vanilla coke yet.. someone told me it was really gross tho :unsure:

Hmm, sounds like you're going to be gaining some serious weight this summer. :p That is unless you play some b-ball. :roll:

You can make your own, but it wont taste quite as good. Fill a glass with coke. And then put in a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Then take the ice cream out after say...10 min.

Of coarse it wont taste quite as good the real vanilla coke, because what could.

Well that must mean that liquid crap is even better then all other sodas, and just below coke. All those year, Ive been sitting on liquid gold.

Sounds more interseting than my job: I'm working at Duncin Donuts (through not as many hours as you are). Then again, we get free anyting we want during breaks and a bit over half off everything in the store... a dozen donunts to take to a party cost me $2.00, they are usually $4.99. 25 munchkins are usually 2.99 and they cost me 1.00 :)

The people I work with are pretty cool and so are most of the costemers... but some... ARG!!!!!

I don't plan on gaining any weight this summer, I'm going to loose some. I hardly ever eat hot dogs, they aren't the best thing for you.. I stay away from candy.. too much fat, kinda the same with chips. I'm going to drink a lot of water.. cuz it's free and it's good for you :sneaky:

Im a coke fanboy too. I even got my school to switch to coke from pepsi. Anyway, I discovered Vanilla Coke Slurpees at 7-Eleven. But they atste like they have coconut.

My brother works part-time at a 7-11.. and he read the bag of the ingredients thing that you pour into ze machine, and it has coconut.. that's why it's nasty and I don't get it.

And Shooter, you shouldn't be complaining. You get a bunch of free stuff and a bunch of money. And you can always go out at night.

And um, I was only complaining about the hours.. the job itself isn't that bad.. it gives me something to do besides sit around all day.. I'm just bummed that this is the week that all my friends are up here, and I have to work.. there's still time to do stuff after work, but not much.. like I can't spend the whole day at the water park with them like they are planning to do... that's why I was complaining. Oh yeah, the free stuff doesn't do anything for me -- I don't care about anything but ze soda. Hotdogs are disgusting, and along with the chips and candy -- not good for you.

Well, they may have a couple months of fun. But youll have money.

I get to have a couple months of fun and make money.. one of my friends, Kayla -- she's a counsiler there.. but she works with ze little kids who only stay half a day.. then she spends the rest of the day goofing off with me in the concession stand.. hehe, for the first day of work, it kicked ass. :D

She just chills with you without getting paid? What a freak.


Oh, and have fun having mad sweaty sex. Just watch out for the little kids... Don't want to scare them away, now do you?

I've got the BEST JOB in the world,
i take calls for pizza pizza, i only get a percentage of wut i sell, but the point is that i make an average of about 15$ and hour!!!! not only that, but also the fact that i stay at home at my computer...see the way it works is that someone calls the pizza pizza number and they get forwarded to me....after that i just take the order!!!:D not only that..but i also make my own hours...minimun 2 hours a week but i can log on and work anytime

i make my own hours.....but thats minimum 30 bucks a week...i make like 200 bucks a week

Heh, I get $9 an hour for 80 hours a week (that's from 8:00 to 5:00 M-F, hour for lunch); about $650 every two weeks, sometimes with overtime (meaning $13.50 an hour for overtime hours). And it's a computer job in a nice air-conditioned office. Pretty much get as many breaks as I want (though I have to get my work done), and the boss just bought a Ping Pong Table for the office.

I got the hook-up because my mom's ex-husband's (not my father's) sister is the wife of the boss of this place, and basically our whole family from both sides of the ex-marriage is cool with each other.

I started working for them two summers ago when I was 15 at $6.50 an hour, though.. :p

Anyway, that may seem like a lot of hours, but I still go out pretty much every night. Though staying up past midnight and getting up at 6:30 starts to suck..
