Minority Report... w00t!... UBER!

I sawed it today... greats movie... yep... umm... go see it... or like... I'll kill you.... or something.... yeah...

I'm always afraid of ruining something for someone, so I don't go into much detail about things :D

So has anybody else seen it yet? Or is ya going to see it?

It r0x0rz...

BlueFire 06-21-2002 08:42 PM

Was it really as uber as the matix like people said it would be? :p

DeathsHand 06-21-2002 08:45 PM

I didn't really like The Matrix that much... But I liked Minority Report... So for me, it was more Uber than The Matrix :p

But for people who are like "WHOA DUDE THE MATRIX R0X YOUR MUDDAH for some reason..." then you might not like it as much as The Matrix :D

Jin 06-21-2002 08:52 PM

I want to see this movie as soon as I can. I've been avoided previews this whole week, because I didnt want to ruin it. I wanted to see it this weekend, but my friends were busy so I'll probably see it with my family, or wait until Monday.

GameKinG 06-21-2002 08:52 PM

Im not going unless its extremely uber...or whatever.

Happydude 06-21-2002 10:11 PM

i want to see it...but my parents are like..."we're not giving you anymore money until you find a job!"

Yeah.. same here... stupid parents.

Anyways... this movie got 5 stars out of 5 from the Toronto Star..... I might check it out tomorrow afternoon, you know, cheap tickets.

;)

DeathsHand 06-22-2002 12:01 AM

Speaking of reviews...

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/MinorityReport-1113879/

only 5 bad reviews out of 113... :D

Them be some pretty good reviews...

100% good reviews from the major publications...

Not that reviews matter... I would have seen it if it got bad reviews... I thought it looked cool when I first saw a trailer thing :p

Happydude 06-22-2002 01:09 AM

i hope i get to see it in theatres...ohh and joiss...whats your AIM/MSN thingy doodles?......too lazy to PM you with this question...so you PM me back with the answer :p

Angrist 06-22-2002 08:12 AM

We're going to see the movie as soon as possible! It looks so super cool!!:D

Revival 06-22-2002 08:58 AM

I think I might go see it.. and everyone else needs to stop using the word UBER!

uber™ of bluefire :p

The_Dunadan 06-22-2002 10:41 AM

um...you guys aren't using uber right:unsure: its a prefix. it goes before words, like uberhacker or ubermovie. not like...d00dz, thats totally UBER, w00t!!! not like that. its definately not a trademark of BF either. but maybe you already knew that. *shrugs*

Revival 06-22-2002 10:53 AM

uber™ is a trademark of bluefire.. so get lost.

:offtopic:

Anyways.. anyone else see this movie?

Neo 06-22-2002 01:43 PM

"uber" is a German word, and since I know German that means that I'm the one who gets to use it. :sneaky:

And yes, The Matrix owns DH's muddah. Yours too, for that matter.

Only if you can speak it fluently :p

You can't tell me how to use uber. :p

Jason1 06-22-2002 04:44 PM

bah...mesa didnt get to see it yet, who knows when I will. But its a Spielberg movie, I would expect nothing less.

A.I. was a good movie, underrated...

Revival 06-22-2002 05:22 PM

Bond, don't ever use A.I. and good in the same sentence again, or I'll be forced to kill you. ;)

That movie sucked more ass than Richard Simmons, IMO.

Happydude 06-22-2002 05:53 PM

I agree with shooter....dont ever use A.I. and the word "good" in the same sentence without the aord "not" in between'em.

Ginkasa 06-23-2002 07:51 PM

I thought A.I. was a very good movie.... strange.... but good....

I just came back from seeing Minority Report and I loved it. Might see it again if I'm going to see a movie again and one of the movies I've wanted to see haven't been released...

Shadow_Link 06-23-2002 10:48 PM

Er... A.I was a fantastic movie. That is why I expect Minority Report to be atleast as good.

-apu- 06-23-2002 10:58 PM

honestly i think that steven spielberg is losing his touch...i mean minority report wuz pretty good but A.I. sucked like hell....i mean i think that it had even less of a point than the demented cartoon movie that happydude posted up

Angrist 06-24-2002 07:48 AM

When will Spielberg's next historic movie come out? Something like Amistad (good movie) and Schindler's List (great movie).

It all started with The Lost World... :distress:

Shadow_Link 06-24-2002 08:09 AM

May I ask why you think Spielberg is losing his touch? From the looks of A.I, he is maturing into a better director.

Angrist 06-24-2002 08:39 AM

Ehm....

Everybody says that AI was dissapointing. Other movies were generally considered GREAT. So... there's gotta be something wrong with AI, right?

Shadow_Link 06-24-2002 10:58 AM

Not really... 95% of the film critics in the world can't analyse a film to save their lives. When I look at A.I, I see a brilliantly made film.

Then again, we are all different. Just because someone doesn't like the film, it doesn't mean it is a bad film.

The Lost World wasnt THAT bad...better than AI, in my opinion.

Happydude 06-24-2002 11:42 AM

IMO, AI was his worst movie...it made no sence what-se-ever to me...like for example, how did the robot not rust up or anything...or how could it have "emotions"...like love...and...umm...stuff...in other words...AI sucked....but then again thats only what me and most other GTers think...:p

The_Dunadan 06-24-2002 11:55 AM

you guys are saying spielberg is losing his touch because his last movie got so so reviews?! keep in mind it was stanley kubricks project that steven spielberg was just directing. i just saw minority report and the man isn't losing his touch.

i think the next movie he starts filming is catch me if you can. tom hanks is in this one.

Oh, and I guess Matrix is a sh*t film because... "Geez, I don't get how that guy can slow down time...".

Will people ever learn? Most movies are not directed to depict reality. If everyone thought that way, then LoTR was a crap film, and so was Alien, and... (You get the picture...).

Again, if you don't like the film, that's fine, it's an opinion, but a good film is a good film, and a bad film is a bad film.

hmmm.... i learned this in english class...
willing suspension of disbeleif or somethin like that.. you cant enjoy a movie unless you make yourself beleive whats happening could actually happen.. or somethin like that.

Like in mission impossible 2 if you can beleive that 2 guys can jump of motorcycles going 70 mph and collide in mid air without breaking anything and then still be able to have a 20 minute fight then you could enjoy the movie.. i dunno.. i cant explain it..

*walks away*

Yeah exactly... I hate it when someone doesn't like a movie just because something "Isn't possible" when it's not necesarily supposed to be possible..... just entertaining :p

Angrist 06-24-2002 04:22 PM

I just hate it when I realise that the things happening in a movie is only an act played by actors... :(

GameKinG 06-24-2002 05:14 PM

You wouldnt expect that in a movie :shakehead

Mechadragon 06-25-2002 12:57 AM

Minority Report twas an uber-movie. I like the fact that the previews don't give away much which made the movie that much better.

I thought A.I. was ok except for the ending (those aliens looked slightly familiar). It made a great homage to Pinocchio though...

GameMaster 06-26-2002 01:29 AM

I saw Lilo & Stitch... :D :sneaky:

Minority Report is on my "too see" list.

fingersman 06-26-2002 01:47 AM

Hey what about Scooby Doo??surely u haven't forgotten about him. I think that is gonna be a great picture and it's about time they made a movie about him. :sneaky:

GameMaster 06-26-2002 05:40 PM

There's too many "references" for my innocent ears. Sorry. :(

Matusha 06-27-2002 01:31 PM

The Scooby Doo show sucked loads of butt.Every episode was the same thing. They think they see a monster, get scared, split up,and finds out its a person, and thats the end of a ****ty episode.I bet the movie is probably the same crap.
