Got me a ps2, a memory card, and ffx earlier around 4 PM. I'll probably be getting GTA3 soon also.


FFX is a great game so far. Good graphics, good gameplay, nice battlesystem, cool sphere-grid system...

But damn, I suck at blitzball! :D


Anyways...I have a ps2!!! FINALLY! :D

You're at the blitzball already? Even I didn't get there the first day I played... and I play like all farkin' day... :D

And BTW, if all you've played is the very first blitzball game... it's made to be much harder than the normal blitzball games you play later on... at least that's what I found to be the case... after playing through FFX and getting all used to Blitzball and only losing like... 2 games out of.... a hundred or more maybe... heh.. anyways I started the game again and tried beating that first blitzball game... and it took me like 3 tries... and SURPRISE!.... you don't get anything (that I noticed) for winning except a trophy which is only featured in a cutscene... *shrugs* they should have given you a magical prize :mad:

When I saw Rikku in pictures before I got FFX, she looked nice..

I don't think FFX was nearly as good as FF7 or FF9. It was far too linear. I wish FF9 were the first ps2 final fantasy cause that would have been sooo freaking awesome.

I pretty much predicted everything that was gonna happen in ffx.

I kinda liked how FFX was mainly linear... I mean, I don't want them to make all the FF games like that, but for once, it was kind of a good thing... it actually felt like you were on a quest to save the world... whereas with other FF games it's like "We have to save the world!...... LET'S GO PLAY AT THE GOLDEN SAUCER W00T!"

And then at least right at the end of the game when you get the airship, a ton of side-quests open up...

FFX seems to be going to fast...they promise 70+ hours. That's good..because in FFIX it was like 30 something first try. :D

Right now..I just left the thunder plain...that was so annoying. :mad: I'm the Macarena (The way Tidus called it :D) Forest area..

Actually I heard people say FFX is about 50 hours the first time through... which is about what it probably would have taken me if I didn't go overboard and try to get a lot of the extra stuff... by the time I beat the game I was at like 70 or 75 hours...

It's the best FF so far... the character, sphere grid system, and all that ****.

The only thing I did was get all the Summons. At the end boss, I payed Yojimbo all my cash to kill Braskas Final Aeon (or something) with one hit :D

Yeah I have all the summons too... all summons, all ultimate weapons... some pretty sweet armor too :p At least for the main 3 guys I use (Tidus, Auron, and Khimari)... yep...

Along with a lot of enemies captured for that Monster Arena... I have like all but 1 area conquest monsters... although I only have 2 species ones :D Oh well...

I'm probably 40% through the game (about).

Is there an end to this game? Like an ending or something?

This game is so good. My Xbox is being left untouched! I'm only playing SSB:Melee and GTAIII (and KOF of course).

100%...

Y'see, I started playing it once, but I missed doing some missions for that asian dude before I killed him... so I couldn't get 100%...

Then I started over... and couldn't get 100% again because of a bug that makes the purple jacks or nines or whatever not appear... and therefore I couldn't beat any of the phone missions on Shoreside...

But then my data got corrupt and so it was bug-free when I deleted the whole game file... so I started again and got 100%... of course, I used faqs for most of the packages and jumps and such... but after playing through the game twice, I didn't feel like looking for them myself... I just wanted to get 100% so I could be done with it and have it strictly for crazy rampages :D

Oh yeah, and yes there is an ending... The game has a storyline y'know :p and you beat the game when you finish all the story missions... not missions in general, but just the story-based missions... meaning the ones you get from meeting people... not the phone ones or anything :D

But the percentage of the game complete counts everything... missions, jumps, packages, everything...

I even did all 12 ambulance missions, and now my guy can run forever and ever without getting tired :D

You can run forever without doing that! You just have to tap X instead of holding onto it...

Wow... well I can run forever without having to keep tapping X so :p

Stupid Seymour Flux!

Casting zombie and then full life right after....grr...looks like I'm going to need to work on the sphere grid..and maybe even go down Mt. Gagazet to see O'aka's brother and buy some Holy Water to make my armor resistant...well..50% resistant..:rolleyes:


Any tips? He's also super fast...I guess I should cast Slowga.

Is that the boss that casts elemental magic?

Well all you need to do is use nul blaze and all those elemental defending magics

I think ..............

Well I think he still casts that elemental magic I think, but this is the one you fight on top of Mt. Gagazet... It's quite a bit harder, and there's more to it than just casting nulwhatever....

But bluefire might have already beaten him by now... as long as he has enough holy waters to cure zombie, and has some... stuff to do things.... then you can beat it... :sneaky:

Actually, I made some Zombie Ward armor thanks to the customizing feature!:D

Cool... for some reason I didn't customize much... I always felt that like... oh I better wait until I get something worth putting in the armor... or save this cuz a better armor might come along... :D

But I still made it through the game nice'n'easy...

Yeh exactly like me.........then came the end of the game.

I had trouble with the last boss coz I just wanted to finish it.

So I rushed it. Bloody so hard @ first. Eventually I used Wakka, Auron and Tidus, Quick Attack all the way (and armour break) and Zombie attack (which is on Aurons sword). Those stupid padagos (or something) p!ss me off. They take 10 years to give the stupid boss 1500 health.

Tip for Final Boss :- Use Yojimbo and give him all the money you have after he transforms into 2nd form.

For me it sliced him straight in half. Instant death. And I was just about to die :drevil:

I don't use the customize feature either. This is like..the only time I've done it so far..

Heh. I beat Yunalesca on my first try...

She did Mega death, but two of my party members were still a zombie :D

I didn't :(

I cured the zombie straight away for all chars.

Then she casts mega death and every1 died :mad:

Exact same thing happened to me...

Even happened the second time through the game... when games are that long, and I have only played through them once before, I usually forget a lot :p
