Nintendo Media Summit 2010
![]() Much like x10 two weeks ago, this is Nintendo's media briefing for the first quarter of the year. Don't really know what to expect, except I would guess more information on Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M. We should see some new DSi/Wii-Ware games, and of course hands on with their q1/q2 releases such as Sin and Punishment 2, Monster Hunter Tri and Red Steel 2. The event starts in just about an hour or so shall be updating, I guess this post. |
Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010
I wish I could follow it livish, but I guess I'll have to read up on it tomorrow.
Probably nothing special here. |
Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010

Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010
Wow Galaxy 2 launches May 23rd
And Sin and Punishment 2 is June 7th Now talking about Mega Man 10 for WiiWare. "More hardcore, action goodness with an incredibly different gameplay style," says Adelman. He says there's a new easy mode in the game that's not all that easy. Coming March 21. Meanwhile, Max & the Magic Marker coming to WiiWare in the states on March 8. Cave Story finally has a release date. Finally. Sheesh! March 22. Good job, Tyrone Rodriguez. I will give you cookie when I see you. Super Meat Boy is next. Coming "this summer." And Yet it Moves. Also "commercially available this summer." Monster Hunter Tri will be bundled with the new black Classic Control Pro. Has free online and works with WiiSpeak. Demo March 8th. Game out April 20th Nintendo to publish Dragon Quest IX in the States. Metroid: Other M is June 27th. Nintendo has a hell of a first half line-up, what the hell do they do for the second half? |

Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010
Sometimes I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world who hated Galaxy. Right now is one of those times.

Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010
I actually didn't think Galaxy was that great either. But we won't get into that.
Metroid looks like an XBLA game, or something. And not even a very good one. Those characters look terrible too. Don't like the sound of the control scheme. But strangely I'll still look forward to it, seeing that it's Metroid, I guess. |

Re: Nintendo Media Summit 2010
I'm pretty excited for Mario especially, and Metroid looks fun.
But I think I'm most excited for that line game. Sadly, my gaming days now would best be filled by short, sweet, jump-in and jump-out type games, instead of the epic games of yore. Just barely touched Uncharted 2. I should have waited until the price dropped, since I just played Uncharted so I'm not really ready for a new one already. The multiplayer was actually pretty fun on it. And I just picked up Fallout 3 because I saw it for $18 and remembered hearing how great it was, so I bought it. How epic is that game? I honestly have no idea... hopefully I didn't just get myself into a long game with that one... |

I mean I've started several RPGs this generation and just got bored after like the 10 hour mark because I hardly feel like I'm making any progress. In 10 hours, I had seen most of Uncharted 1/2, Batman, Mario Galaxy and NSMBW. I had beaten both Gears of War and Halo 3/ODST. So yeah bring on the shorter games! That being said, FlingSmash by a waggle happy gamer. |
