I must say I think it's a vast improvement over the epic win that was l4d. Quite a bit more depth to the game now.

Beat the first 3 campaigns. This version is considerably harder than the last. They just keep throwing specials at you in their recently extended variety. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet.

I like it. The campaigns have various endings. More than just holding out against a few hordes and some tanks at the end of each round.

Im finding it hard to actually complete a round of versus. I must have played about 20+ games of vs, and i have yet to complete one of them. Every time you are winning, the other team quits. This makes it practically impossible to complete achievements, and awards.

My girlfriend bought this a few days ago. I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than the first one now.

I have to say, though, this is one of the hardest games out there this generation.

I've never had a problem with people dropping in versus whenever I've played.
I notice when I play a quickmatch, people drop out like it's going out of style, but if I search for a lobby/make a lobby, for the most part nobody really drops.

We pretty much only join lobbys or start lobbys. People dont like it when you stomp the snot out fo them.

Seems like the next update (out now on Steam, soon on the Xbox) will address two major issues with L4D.

-First, no more instant spawning during the finale so you don't have to worry about getting your boomer half way across the stage and being shot from a distance.

-Second, adding AI infected if your team has less than 4 humans.

had a great time playing tonight!

was me, combine, moogle, and swanny. a great team, work together so well and it's fun. We are hard pressed to be beaten easily. GT gaming at its best! havent played L4D2 in awhile, took a bit to get the rust off.

Finally got another team to stick around for the whole game (mostly)

Woo only 6 more wins for the bull shifter shirt!

Well as some of you know The Passing DLC released a few weeks back, and as part of the package came mutations which are like modified game modes. So far we've seen Realism Versus and this one is a survival mode of sorts where your health is always going down, and no way to refill it out than pills/adrenaline.

Someone found a leak of all the mutations, and some of them sound really boss

Chainsaws (coop) - Everyone starts with a Chainsaw (unlimited fuel) and a pistol (unlimited ammo), there aren't any other kinds of weapons spawning, so it's just what you have at the beginning.
Four Swordsmen (coop) - Kinda like Chainsaws, except you start with katanas and no pistols, and there are only S.I., no Commons.
Hardcore (coop) -If everyone dies, you have to restart the campaign, so no restarting maps, you have to restart the whole thing!
Headshot Only (coop) - Self descriptive, commons only die with headshots.
Last Man On Earth (singleplayer) - It's you... against the S.I. (extremely scary)
M60s (coop) - Survivors start with only M60s (limited ammo) and a Desert Eagle, once you run out of ammo, you're screwed.
Max Specials (survival) - It's survival, with 8 S.I. at any given time!
Bleed Out/Temp Health (coop) - Everyone starts with 100 decaying health (pills-like), there are no medkits, only pills and adrenaline.
Protect the VIP aka Gnome (coop, versus) -There is a gnome next to you at the beginning, carry it through the campaign, person carrying the gnome can't use weapons and the gnome attracts infected!
Realism Versus (versus) - You already know what this is, versus with realism modifications.
Linear Scavenge (scavenge) - 2 Cans spawn, get those 2 in and 2 more spawn, proceed...
No Health Versus (versus) - No medkits, no pills, no adrenaline.
Versus Survival (survival) - Self Descriptive, it's a lot of fun.
Madness (coop) - There are TONS of common infected, they are VERY angry and there are no S.I., you have enough trouble as it is.
Versus Coop (versus) - It's coop, with a twist, you play as the infected as the bots try to make it through the campaign alive.
Realism Scavenge (scavenge) - Self descriptive, scavenge with all the realism twists.

So Valve has announced new DLC for L4D/L4D 2 on GameTrailers TV

Essentially, this DLC will tell the story leading up to the last DLC The Passing, and is entitled the Sacrifice. It will be the same DLC on L4D/L4D 2, but with slight variation due to the games.

Along with the Sacrifice, L4D 2 shall be getting NO Mercy as part of the DLC.

There is also a 150 page digital comic that will be released in 4 parts that chronicles the life of the 4 survivors before the start of L4D
