NEW Metroid Screens!
 

Excited?? I know I am...:beat: "I have to admit it's gettin better, it's gettin better alll the time" What do you guys think? Is everyone really anticipating Prime or not really interested?

As far as Metroid goes I played Super, and thought it was decent. I also liked the style of the game. I think the concept of Prime is a good one because FPSers are pretty fast paced, and then you have the exploring aspect which should slow things down and allow the story to progress and also show off the style of the game, I know I'll buy it when it hits shelves.

I'm going to get it. I think it looks great.

Look at the toggle cross hairs to the lower left and right do you think there's more to them than just switching the cross hair on screen?

After seeing these, I will definitely be getting this game! If only I could go to E3 to see how it plays:(

Damn this game looks beautiful. I really like the whole visor-view thing. It adds a unique touch.

Oh cool, just noticed you can see Samus's face through the visor (Screen 3).

If only Metroid Prime had a multiplayer mode :(.

K.... just wonderin .. where are you people gettin your E3 stuff this year? I know last year it was mainly IGN since it was all free.... today is the preshow day right? I know that prolly all of IGN's exclusive **** is gonna be for insider only .. so where are you gettin your screens and videos this year? I've been kinda busy with homework and stuff lately so i havent had time to look around.

Metriod looks great, i guess retro pulled together. Werent they the ones that were having all the problems and lay offs cause they werent on schedual with raven blade and stuff?

Anyway... cant wait til E3 actually starts!

Well I've been scowering the net for anything E3: Gamecube related... Metroid FPS/Exploration game of the year... Alas innovations!

I loved Halo , but my only MAJOR complaint was the lack of weapons available to choose from.

I think Metroid would interest me a lot more coz I played the game when I was younger, but not for long though :unsure:

Why is everyone making the Metroid, Halo comparance? Won't Metroid be substantially different from Halo?

I think that Metroid will be similar but not the same as Halo. First off, you are going to be alone so therefore no teamplay. And Metroid will be a much more fastpaced game to match the speed of the SNES days...

I think they keep comparing them with eachother because MP will be the first exclusive, excelent shooter.

I like the atmosphere of the game. It looks like Retro has done a great job in keeping the Metroid atmosphere intact. And I like the pic where you can see Samus (is it Samus or the new rumored girl?) face. The effect looks great.

Forget that rumor. This IS Samus.

I hope it's Multi-player

Multi-player would kick A$$, but you have to wonder how they could do M-P? Do it as a shoot'em up (similar to Perfect Dark [ah yes the days of PD]), or make it similar to what Nintendo, I guess, is doing with Zelda on GBA and making an entirely different quest with 4 people or so? I would prefer either, since both would have yelling and cursing at each other:D*your friends that is*

Multiplayer in Metroid?? Impossible I'm afraid... :(

What do you mean impossible? If they can have four Links they can have four Samuses.

Right on! Also couldn't there be some other characters you could play as for multiplay?? Well I mean the more options the merrier

Oh my god. IGN weren't kidding when they said you would be able to see Samus's own face inside the visor through a reflection!
