Members Revisited: Shooter
 

I believe Shooter left shortly before or after I joined GT. I know there is a lot of anger / hate toward him from past and present members.

So, in that light, what was Shooter like? Why do so many people dislike him? Is he the anti-christ?

I've never had any problems with him, and never understood why people hated him so much. I know some stuff happened in private, but all I saw on the forums were the anger messages. I have no idea what that was about..

LOL, nice visit to the past. I remember E_Petit (or Ravishing Rick Rude or whatever his name was) started the Shooter hatred. I do remember one instance where he made one of those little flash movie shorts starring shooter. It was about 10 seconds in length and had a very effeminate man saying "I should kill myself". I think he disliked Shooter because Andromeda and he would publicize their relationship troubles in GT...which was a kick, haha.

Do you remember Pure Evil and chris? They also pestered Shooter. Then again, they harassed everyone.. I still remember when they would invite me and a few other GTers into an AIM chat and just spit out every racial slur they could think of. lmao.

But back to Shooter... I'm friends with him on Facebook. :p

Is that why you asked Bond? Did you notice? Being the only one to respond to my thread so far.

Shooter was ok really. I had no problem with him. He was accused of be annoying and childish sometimes. He liked his short one word or smiley posts too ;)

E_Petit was always kind of a dick, and Shooter was annoying. Those were some interesting times. It's weird I've been here through all of these cycles of members.

I first remember Shooter as Wildfire on gekko's Nintentrix site as a moderator. Had a cool flaming signature. On GT he was Shooter had Burner Man as his avatar...and I edited it in my spriting days to be covered in poo......

I thought E_Petit was an ok guy. Was pretty nice as far as I recall. Don't think I was around much after he changed his name and attacked Shooter though. Not sure.

Pure Evil would appear on AIM every few months and curse me out. I miss that.

Shooter, Shooter, what could I say about him. Geo already mentioned the Andromedia business and that got nasty once they broke up. He also had a habit of harassing people on AIM. I believe I have like a dozen of his screennames blocked. He would go into racist rants at time, but don't remember any particular on the forums.

E_Petit/Ravishing/etc was a cool guy, last I heard he DJed at some Canadian bar.

I use to keep in close contact with nWoChris, up until around the summer of last year than he fell off the face of the earth.

PureEvil was a douche.

I still speak with Y2Kev actually goes to Columbia.

Okay, so I'm getting a clearer picture about this whole situation now. I have another question. Shooter changed his name to Revival, right? That got me thinking.. Who else has changed their username and is still active? I know that there are a few, but I wouldn't easily be able to tell who is who and what the previous usernames were.

The Germanator used to be Haas the Spinto (i think)
Teuthida had many different names.. I recall Danchastu or Can of Dan (or maybe I got that backwards)

and of course Professor S was once The Strangler

And Teuthida, I miss the cursing out, too. I laughed a lot.. haha.

I believe I've always been The Germanator. Haas is/was my AIM screename, but I'm not on there too much anymore. Anyways......

I also posted way less back then. I remember having less than 1000 posts after the first three years or so of Ndose/whatever.

Wasn't it E_Petit_17? He was into soccer and thought I looked like a young Dennis Berghkamp. I always thought people just didn't understand him.

I never thought I had that much problems with Shooter... I knew he was always unfriendly to most people, but I didn't think I had joined in all the hate.
But then I saw that second thread. Wow, I said some nasty things... But I also found a reason why I disliked him: When I hit 5k posts with Angrist, I left the forums because I was too addicted to it. I rejoined half a year later as Canyarion. Then I got mad by all the dirty stuff that could be posted on GT, so I left again. To come back as Angrist (my post count was messed up anyway).

I think I joined a bit after Y2Kev. Never understood what that was about.
And yes, I remember Rndm_Perfection going mean. What was that about? And didn't he rejoin just for a game of Mafia, in which he got incredibly mad again?

Pure Evil could be mean, but didn't he always have very interesting threads? Stuff about 4D etc.

Oh and who remembers Tunnelvision?

E_Petit was the man. I used to fight with him on AGB but then we started chatting on AIM and he turned out to be a cool guy...that was like 8 or 9 years ago. Oh how time flies by.

I registered here like over 8 years ago but I didn't post much, I just lurked. This place was too active to keep up with. I've always lurked on and off, but yeah. So I guess that makes me a n00b.

Ok so that shooter guy actually didn't seem as bad as his girlfriend who seemed mildly annoying in one of those "I'm only posting here because my boyfriend posts here" kind of ways. Reminds me of those dumb girls.

I had a previous name of thehtownpoption. Wasn't that fun? Then I changed my name to something that made me feel like less of a douche and more of a nerd. Much better IMO.

But, Shooter? I hardly remember him. I've been off and on this forum and have never posted much anyway, but have always been slightly jealous of people that knew each other well on here.

Sad thing? I've been here since soon after the codename Nintendo Dolphin was announced, which according to this ancient IGN article, must have been sometime after May 4, 1999, and I have fewer posts than most new members that stick around get in a month.

Anyone know exactly when NintendoDolphin.net was first put up? We should celebrate it's tenth birthday whenever that is, which should be sometime soon.

I had 2 other names besides Bube - Bub64 and Bube77, both registered because I had trouble logging in and had to register a new name to accept the login cookie :) Weird times. Then everything went back to normal and I got Bube back :)

And yes, I've been in Turkey the whole time :)

Definitely not as common, or cheap, as it was right now, but yes, it was common. I had been going online at home for 2 years before I found nintendodolphin.net.

Although it will probably never compare with the US, in both categories :)

Man... 10 years of GT (almost) Thats quite something really when you think about it. Over a third of my life. I was still at school when I signed up here, I found NDose in it's dying months an was led here, must have been, day 12 I signed up or something like that.
