Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Way to go villagers! We got 'em! Just one more lurking out there, eh? We'll have some time to think.
R.I.P BreakaBone, our fallen commander. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Well 1 left, good voting everyone
You couldnt have posted uber?:p |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Goodnight, sweet knight.
Your command was well enacted. In your memory, we shall fight, Stay focused and not distracted. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Hunh, my shot in the dark turned into a giant snowball, and it all worked out in the end. Nice!
|
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Well, I did my best, but couldn't compete with the Village Coalition.
Anyway, as my goodbye, I shall type these completely random and unrelated letters. Do not search for a meaning, there isn't one. I'm a big jerk who doesn't follow the rules! |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
/sigh
Look guys. Look at my track record. I have repeatedly voted for a Mafia, even if it wasn't the winning vote. I don't have an ability, but I am innocent. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
What cause your cry of alarm, TML?
Our voting has yet to tell. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
It was a fun ride while it lasted, we were able to eliminate 3 of them before my departure. Just remember guys to hold strong, there is only one left in our midst, and I am certain I have formed a rock steady alliance.
While the captain and Lord Commander are gone, there have already been back-up plans in place. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
This is ending up to be easier than I thought it would.
Sad to see you go, BaB, you shall be avenged. |

Woot I am still alive!
I totally think Thespis is evil. Why else would he be talking in rhymes. Nobody suspects the rhymer |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
I found out what happened to uber_paddler:
Prince Uber was nicknamed “the Paddler”, because of a wild water adventure when he was still a young kid. As a seven year old, he had escaped the attention of his tutors and had gone to the river. On a small raft he had paddled through the town's canals. Everybody had come out to watch. It had been a running joke ever since, and he had kept a nice nickname from the story. But none of that seemed to matter now. Ever since his fiancé had died, the prince had been struggling to keep his head clear. True, it was an arranged marriage and he barely knew his bride, but he had looked forward to it anyway. She was pretty, and supposedly intelligent too. And now she was gone, because of this big conspiracy that he didn't want anything to do with. His parents had enemies, he had not. It made him so angry. He was supposed to have been married now, but here he was, locked up in his own castle. People were even suspecting him! As if he would kill his own wife. Admittedly, the thought, that had been done before. He walked through the corridors, going for the latrine to empty his bowels. He was dead tired and he needed some time alone. He picked a nice spot near the window and squatted above the hole. The cold air came in and stroke his four cheeks. It was refreshing, but it also made him realize how tired he really was. He hadn't slept in 3 days. He decided to close his eyes, just for a few seconds... “My Lord! My Lord! I bear disturbing news! Your son, he fell from the latrine's room. He hit one of the rocks in the canal. I saw him fall with my own eyes, and I sent guards to find him. He... he is dead, my lord.” Queen Kitana, eyes still red from the last casualty, burst out into a hysterical sobbing. King Neo did not say a word. He just turned around and went into his room. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Now that Christmas is over, I can get back to rooting out evil!
|
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
I !Vote Typhoid.
Most suspicious guy at the moment, in my opinion. Unless he doesn't vote today, then I want to go for somebody else. :p |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
!Clarification
At the end of the narration, it says voting ends for this round "Friday, December 27th." Today is Friday, but it's the 26th. I almost forgot to vote today because I thought I had until tomorrow. We might want to give people a break if they miss today...That said. !vote Typhoid |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
We are close to completing our mission,
So !Vote Typhoid and let's claim victory. And one more thing in addition, To suspect the rhymer is contradictory. :-) |

!vote Typhoid ...although I sort of hope it's not him since this Mafia felt too short. I like them closer. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
I dont think hes mafia, but I need to get a vote in so, !vote Angrist
|
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Alrighty, we can go with the group once more.
!vote Typhoid |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Well if everyone is doing it.
!Vote Typhoid |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
That's really random considering I've voted against the mafia the past 2 rounds.
I also thought we had until tomorrow, which is why I wasn't posting. But it looks like I'm done for. At any rate !vote Thatmariolover |

So? Not everyone can have the first vote in. I personally think that it's a silly theory. If I was Mafia, I would have thought of clever ways to try divert attention away from them, not try get them out of the game. That's just a bad strategy. Personally, this sucks. I haven't felt I've been suspicious at all. Edit: TML, the 3 was a typo. You see, the 2 and 3 are right next to eachother on the keyboard. It was a mistake. Secondly, yes, I did vote for him late on in that round, because that was the only time I could get to the computer, and I felt like giving to the cause. Also, considering I voted for Mafia early on in any round, wouldn't that sort of make you think that I'm not mafia anyways. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition

You did not vote for mafia in round 1 and 2. As for: Quote:
Who ever the real mafia is, he's using this trick. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Angrist, I never said I voted for mafia in rounds 1 and 2.
I said I voted for mafia early on in a round. I forget which round. I didn't mean early on in the entire game, I meant early on in a specific round. While we sit here and point fingers at eachother, whoever the real mafia-person is is just sitting back and not causing a scene or drawing attention to himself, letting us take eachother out one by one. I can assure you I'm not mafia, but that won't do any good. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Well, if you want to stay in that badly, why don't you start pointing some fingers? Provide us with some interesting theories.

Well it was my understanding through BaB (when he was in the game) that people assumed TML was mafia, which got me thinking it would make a lot of sense. He's been relatively quiet this entire game. Which is why I voted for him. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Honestly, I'm not the seer. So if you kill me off, it's not like it's the biggest loss in the world. But I am a villager, and we are dwindling.
It's high time the seer spoke up. Honestly, this is getting just a little ridiculous. LOOK at me. Then CONTACT me. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Stilll don't trust Mr. Rhymer
!Vote Thespis |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
I think I have a thoughtful decision this time. I find it funny that Earl never talked to me about Teuthida this game. Either he didn't have much to say to him, or he just isn't caring about the game, hmmm.
!vote Teuthida |

Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
For what it's worth:
!Retract Typhoid !Vote Teuthida |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Typhoid - 5
Teuthida - 2 TML - 1 Angrist - 1 Thepsis - 1 |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Well, fellas.
The game is over. Typhoid was the last mafia. But before he died, he murdered Angrist. I have a horrible feeling that the mafia was rooted out due to BreakABone's demanding people tell them their role PM. This would make me sad for two reasons. 1. I failed to make a failsafe to prevent that strategy. 2. That strategy really isn't in the spirit of the game. Hopefully the villagers were just really on the ball this game. Anyways! CONGRATULATIONS! This is now the end game thread. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Damnit Sean, I knew I couldn't trust you. Hahahah.
P.S. I was the Seer. Take that, mariolover! BreakABone had nothing to do with my Seer results - I gradually got more people knowing what was up, like a good Seer should do. I'm glad I found out manasecret right away. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
We demand a narration!
Nice going. Ehm, my dying scene goes like this: As the sellsword Angrist fell on the ground with the dart between his ribs, a grin came to his face. That grin just said one thing: "Hah, I was right." So BaB discovered who the Vigilante was, using that dirty trick? That is pretty lame... Like Dyne said, we did pretty good without BaB. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
Quote:
What the hell is this about anyone... I simply used a keyword system, and wanted to see if anyone would use the word plain ole to describe themselves. No one... unless misunderstood my message was asked to screencap or copy/paste or anything else their PM. |
Re: Mafia Round 5 - Christmas Edition
BaB, myself, Dyne, and others formed an alliance based on trust. No screen capping was used. It just so happened I was the vigilante and Dyne was the seer, more luck than anything else.
I think the issue is that if the good guys are able to build a large alliance early on in the game, with good outside forum communication, it's hard to beat. Perhaps the fail safe here is to prohibit communication outside of GT. |
