Anyhow, first time seeing the Gears of War 2 commercial. I have taken a different approach to this game by not finding out too much about it won't be ruined when I finally play it.

I am thinking of calling in sick on Fri. We shall see.

I was thinking about buying it but I think my money would be better invested in assorted lubricants. Besides, the Halo 3 believe commercial is way better than the game, so why pay for the foreplay when I can get the sex for free.

No. Actually, 360 owners are probably the coolest of the pack. I think the 360 is the best value of the consoles thus far. =/

Oh my god, this game is amazing too! Nothing needs to be said! I played it for an hour and enjoyed every second of it!

Sidenote: This game has so much freaking bass. I tried to close the door but about half an hour in my mom and brother thought it was non-stop thunder outside and told me to turn it down. :lolz: That's never happened to me before. Oh subwoofers.

Yeah, I had the same problem with the first, lol. Damn shotgun was so loud I'd have to almost turn the sound off when I played at night.

Anyway, we need to get some epic MP games going on.

Got up to level 18 in Hordes with this guy, Flunkie and another person from GAF.

Good times.

Awesome game so far.

And I really really love Horde.
So many different stages and strategies.

Oh my god, the beginning is NOTHING. It's kind of disappointing for people looking to buy the game - you usually end up playing the first hour and that's it. Well the first hour is complete shit compared to what comes. :D

To be fair to Phil. I think he is underplaying the game.

It is truly an awesome awesome experience.

The multiplayer is much expanded with stuff like Hordes, which I have played a great deal more of than campaign.

Tons of new multiplayer types that myself, Uber and Vampyr tried out last night.

You have wingmen which is 5 teams of 2 for a change. You have Guardian which is similar to VIP in Halo except you have to kill the Guardian to stop the other team from respawning.

Meatflag which is Capture the Flag with a Live Target, which I learned the hard way isn't as easy as you would think when they don't want to go with you. :lol:

Oh god I played Coop with my brother last night. What an amazing game for Coop. None of this small-screen divided shit.

I hated the vehicle session in Gears 1.

And the first one in Gears 2 was not that impressive. (Ice Lake for those who played the game)

But the escape at the end of Act 4 was friggin awesome. :D

Only part of the ice level that annoyed me was having to die several times to memorize where the mortars hit.

Thought driving down the actual mountains was very fun though.

I don't know.
Didn't like the feel of the vehicle.
And for some reason kept comparing that segment to the final portion of Halo 3 when you are making your escape. I thought that was epic until the escape at the end of Act 4 of Gears. :lol:

Well, I beat the game, and I think the second half of the campaign is much better than the first half.

Most of the first half, seemed like a rethread on the original game, but then they open it up with some interesting locales and some awesome "vehicle" segments.

I also completed Wave 50 of hordes now to see if can do it all in one sitting.

Good game.

I have a friend who has not yet played horde, and is wanting to get in a game with 4 other people to do it. I need level 19 - 30 to get the achievement. Lets make it happen. I -might- be able to get Eric and Krazy on around 9 tonight.

Sick game though the ending was kind of a let down
