:lolz: I knew it.

Anyways, nice. I'm not really excited after watching both those, but it looks like it will deliver to people.

Gameplay looks good, but as a Christian I'm not going to play this.

Edit: Just like I don't watch horror movies anymore.

Pretty much the same reason I never played any of the Diablos Ang.

Diablo 2 was fun, but the Acts had the most boring environments ever. It was good fun to collect items. Personally, it looks like D2 with better graphics, and that's fine with me.

So, now we have Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 in the oven. Blizzard is sitting on a virtual goldmine right now. I'm sure they'll wait a few more years to build up hype.

In the meantime, I think I'm going to resurrect Starcraft. Here I come Zerg!

OMG ftw!!1!!! As long as they strive to recreate the grittiness of the first and second a bit more this will be amazing. Hopefully the "when it's done" release date scales better than Duke Nukem Forever.

Really? I quite enjoyed the environments and atmosphere...
Well, until it got all hellish...

But maybe that's just because I've had a thing for Woodlands, marshlands, and Egyptianish deserty locales ever since I was a kid...

Though I suppose the general layout was kind of empty and repetitive... But I guess back in the day it was hard to pack a lot of variety and substance into randomly generated maps...

Which is actually something I'm curious about Diablo 3... Will it continue with the randomly generated environments? *ponders*

"When it's done" is Blizzard's answer to every question regarding the release date of any of their games until they themselves set one...

Why everyone should stay far, far away from Diablo III.

Shame on you, Blizzard.

I expect a retort from Blizzard for great lols.

The more important question is, "why is there a rainbow in Diablo 3?"

Thanks flunkie, I'm canceling my preorder as we speak.

Act I was tedious on my eyes. Act II and Act III were both pretty good, but some of the desert exploration towards the end of Act II got boring. Act IV was boring, but short, so it's forgivable. And, the Expansion Act was alright.

All-in-all, given how old D2 is, the environments aren't that bad. But by today's standards, they do look very blah.

I've always had admiration for the Diablo games, but I just can't get excited about the loot harvest, as damn hard as I try.

Re: Diablo III Announced

Alriiiight. I can't wait for this game. I like the simple gameplay and loot gathering, and the ability to play while drinking a (several) beers.

What's un-Christian about going to kill the devil and all of his minions?

Re: Diablo III Announced

Diablo has always spiked my interest, although my ADD of playing multiple games at once that I used to have about 6 years ago never let me complete the first two.

Shame on me I know.

Come on Blizzard, you know we're waiting, and you can keep the hits coming.

The fact that the game makes it possible to fail in the quest and doesn't give you the choice to convert The Dark Lord to Christianity.

We fail to defeat Satan everyday. One could argue that if he could be defeated, there would be no more challenge to being a Christian... you'd just be, and God and Christianity would lose meaning.

Therefor, playing Diablo is Godly, but beating Diablo is heresy, and if you beat it you should be burned at the stake.

...

Angrist, its just a game. No part of any Christian doctrine calls for you to not play a game, especially not one that pits you in mortal battle with Satan.

I've always felt that refusing to play games, watch movies, or read books that conflict in some way with your religion is either admitting your religion has fallacies, or admitting that your faith is weak enough for fictional material to sway it.
