What would you like to see at E3 this year?
 

E3 is quickly approaching us and I was wondering what you guys would like to see presented during this years show?

For me, I'd like to see:

More Gears 2 footage
Zelda Wii announcement and possible footage (very unlikely)
Something from Naughty Dog on the PS3, I personally would like some news on a PS3 version of Jak and Daxter.
Infamous footage
Halo Wars footage
Call of Duty 5 Wii footage
and lastly, if it's not out yet by the time E3 comes around, info on In-Game XMB for the PS3 (this should be here anytime now)

- Homeworld 3 (yeah, right...Dawn of War II says "Relic's busy, punk!")
- Some new footage of Infinite Line
- A new PSP shooter in the form of Syphon Filter
- Some good news about upcoming PSP games
- Maybe just something thrilling. I always like thrilling news.

Sweet jesus that would be awesome. Keytar and maybe through in a Rockordian while at it.

What I want to see is less casual. Yeah, it sells, but E3 is for the real bread and butter stuff that the industry should showcase..though it is much different then in the "far" past.

E3 isn't important enough to attract that many bread-and-butter announcements any longer.

Especially with the splintering of the ESA, and the growth of publisher-specific Gamer's Day events.

I hope they'll announce something at E3 pertaining to Propaganda's workings. :cool: I hate saying I'm working on an unannounced title. :lolz:

Well, I can't say anything on behalf of the company, but I can say Turok was pretty much done and ready to go in September last year. :) And game companies don't usually sit around and twiddle their thumbs.

Duke Nukem Forever? That's another story.. damn.

Shenmue for any console would be awesome. I still love how in-depth the games were. Controls were a little weird, but bearable.

Wii
Some games announced:

Kid Icarus with a launch date.
New Zelda teaser trailer. Direct sequel to Twilight Princess.
Pikmin 3 out this year! Maybe even Pikmin 1 and 2 included on the disc (though I doubt they'll do that).
F-Zero. Online of course.
Maybe Star Fox.

Other games I want to see:

Wii Music

DS
Ehm I guess... I don't know. Maybe an F-Zero that ties in with the Wii version.

Things I DON'T want to see
Long speeches about how succesful the Wii and DS are and how Nintendo has captured the casual gamer.

I'd rather not think about it. I like to be surprised by E3, so I'll just wait and see what I like and come back and edit this post saying what I would like to see and be hailed as a prescient god of some sort.

Team ICO's new PS3 game, which I've heard is SotC2 or something? That'd be awesome.

Something else for the PS3 that exclusive and not gonna get delayed for two years just like everything else that they've started making for it.

Star Ocean 4 footage, new Chrono footage, a Wii Zelda game that DOESN'T look like a GCN port please?

RE5, Silent Hill 5, Elite Beat Agents 2, some new original PSP stuff that it's cutesy like LocoRoco (although I enjoyed it a lot).

Some new Kingdom Hearts footage, and yes I'm including the mobile, PSP, and DS titles that are being used to milk the franchise for all it's worth.

That's funny. When I predicted 5 months ago that they would show a new Zelda at E³, most people said it was too early. :) We'll see. I know I got at least a 1000 hits because of that blog entry.

That might be tough to pull off while keeping / expanding on the scope of Twilight Princess. I get the feeling that Super Mario Galaxy really maxed the Wii out, but only because it was done on small-scale style levels. For the large open-world Zelda, it might have to take a hit in graphics.

I really want to see new zelda, some kind of info on new Metroid, new Fire Emblem(preferably on DS), info on the Wii Crystal Chronicles, New Star Fox for wii (that doesn't suck), Pikmin 3, some Halo Wars stuff, some Bioshock 2 stuff, maybe some Elder Scrolls 5 stuff, and lots of starcraft. Kid Icarus would be welcome too :D That new prince of persia looks interesting as well, the graphic style is quite intrigueing.
Speaking of graphics, as far as Wii games go, I don't really care. I mean, when it's obviously lazy and sub-par graphic job (Fire Emblem) I get mad, but stuff like Zelda, and Metroid is already good enough for me, and I care far more about gameplay and story then their graphics at this point.

I guess it came off as I was hating on the Wii's graphics, which I'm not. I love solid gameplay as much as the next hardcore gamer, especially when it comes to Nintendo's star franchises that always find a way to bring something new to the table.

Some part of me is still convinced that the Wii still has somewhere to go visually, albeit it might not be very far of course.

It seems that maybe some space limitations on the media they're using to distribute the games could also be another problem. Brawl was fitted onto a dual-layer DVD because of the movies and it suffered from some in-game loading issues, etc. That would definitely cut back on having games like Zelda where things need to be happening constanty.
