Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
Hmm. As long as it runs at 60FPS it'll be sweet on Wii.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'd definetly get it for the Wii if it ends up being decent on there.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
I dunno. CoD 4 set the standard really really high. I mean its in space.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
Oddly numbered CoD games = avoid.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
I found 3 amusing. Crushing people in motor bikes and clubbing people with a bazooka for an instant kill was funny.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
I'm still annoyed the DS got CoD4 and the PSP ended up with zip.
Could we PLEASE see just ONE modern shooter, bar Syphon Filter, on the handheld?! PLEASE?! |
Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
World at War is NOT CoD5. It seems like they're saving the number 5 for the direct sequel to CoD4. Which is pretty smart.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
No, I think they're doing the same thing like COD4.. "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" and now, "Call of Duty 5: World at War"

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
I like CoD4 and all, but I'd like to see more than 8 months go by before hype for the next one..

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
Why the ":lolz: :lolz: :lolz: :lolz: ...." flunkie? It's not like it looks bad.

Re: First details on Call of Duty 5: World at War
Screenshots have become very deceptive, for good and bad. I don't think Call of Duty 4 is a real looker in a still, but in motion, it obviously comes together. As this game uses the same engine, I expect the same here.
As far as the game is concerned, while I would love for a developer somewhere to explore a completely different war (Word War I, you fuckers), the reasons I have for enjoying CoD4's multiplayer do not stem from its "modern" aesthetic. I point a gun, I shoot. I get 10 points for it. The appeal (and annoyances) I have with CoD4 are all encompassed in the experience system. That's what I like it for. I couldn't get beyond the first two or three acts in Single Player, because I found the game relied on throwing waves and waves of respawning enemies at me, overwhelming me with numbers rather than good AI. I don't dig that. So I doubt Single Player could be much worse for me. And if it is, its still negligible, because if I buy CoD: World at War, it will be to for the multiplayer. |

Now, since this is Pacific Theatre, I hope some Aussies are thrown into the mix.
