LOST : season 4 *spoilers*
Anyone else catch it last night? My brain hurts, but nomore than usual when watching LOST.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
great to see they're doing great episodes even after the big 'change' (flashfowards.... or flash backs being the on island part and present being off the island)
show still feels the same, and looks to be a great season. can tell hes trying hard not to make the same mistake he did with alias. |
Re: LOST : season 4
Downloaded the 720p torrent last night before bed. Will post impressions later. But if they don't explain the four-toed statue, there'll be hell to pay.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
four toed statue? your a season behind there.. that was season 2's finale
and i doubt that will ever be addressed directly.. more like in the end when you find out what the island is it will make sense and you'll be like ohhh... |
Re: LOST : season 4
I wonder who was in the coffin in the season 3 finale
|
Re: LOST : season 4
You can always count on Cracked for a knee-slapping chuckle:

Re: LOST : season 4
As I see it, they will never answer all of the questions. They have what, only 8 episodes this season? It's retarded. All we'll get is more flash forwards.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
well most people are stupid, they expect a character to come out and spell it out for em... "ohh, the reason such and such happened is because of this"
thats not what the show is about... many of the answers are there if you pay attention, and most of the answers you'll figure out when everything comes together. and they only have 8 episodes done... a planned 16.... so because of the stupid writers thing, its not clear whether they're going to leave this season at 8.... and do next season 24, then last season 16 again.... or maybe have a split this season and wait till they can finish the season or what. but i dont know what many people want.... the show would suck if they just gave you all the answers right away... there would be nothing to think about.. many of these 'questions' people want 'answered' arent really things that are meant to be question/answer things... like the 4 toed statue, thats more of a clue of whats going on... they throw in a lot of those. |

The premiere was excellent. Best season opener since the Pilot episode if only for the Hurley flash forwards. Plus, I was keenly awaiting the fated time that the island would split into two factions. |
Re: LOST : season 4
Of course they didn't. Eight is all we're scheduled to get now.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
I'm still on Season One. :/

Either wait until the whole series is finished, and watch them all in 1 week. Or never start watching Lost. :) |
Re: LOST : season 4
Let's talk about the phrase,
Quote:
a. Hurley, Jack and four others are the only ones who actually survive and make it back to their respective homes. b. Hurley, Jack, and four others are the only ones who left the island. While the rest either weren't able to leave or chose not to. Opinions? Ideas? |

Unless of course more serious events happen between s4e1's flashforwards and s3's final episode's flashforwards. |
Re: LOST : season 4
Well, one of the Oceanic 6 dies as is evidenced by the memorial Jack attends in the flash-forward at the end of Season 3.
And something we can also discuss is Jack's dramatic change of mind between the flash-forwards of Season 3 end and beginning of Season 4. In the last Thursday's episode, we see a Jack who seems to have resumed his normal life and is happy with it. Whereas in the flash-forward of Season 3 he is clearly distraught and telling Kate how they have to go back. At this point, it seems Jack has reached the same level of misery and desperation as Hurley. What has caused this change in Jack? At this point we can only speculate but it will likely be revealed later on. |
Re: LOST : season 4

Actually, we don't know that. It might be Jack's father, Ben or some other person on the island we still haven't met. Or it might be someone who we thought was dead, but actually isn't - Mikhail seems to be pretty immortal, for example (I'm not saying it was Mikhail, but hey, why not). |

Last thursdays episdoe takes place before the season 3 finale. We can tell because Jack tells Hurley that he is "Thinking about growing a beard" which he has in the season 3 finale. |

Man, some serious "I learned it from watching you, dad" early morning drinking points for Jack in that episode.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
And I'm pretty sure they mentioned that they left everyone there. Not sure the exact quote but something along the lines of having to go back for them
|
Re: LOST : season 4
I'll try to do this every week.
Previously on LOST: |
Re: LOST : season 4

Re: LOST : season 4
What pissed me off was when Lock asked Ben what the smoke monster was. I was like holy crap here we go! Finally an answer to something. Lol boy did they fool me. And waht was with the polar bear in africa???
|
Re: LOST : season 4
I'm on season 2 now!

Re: LOST : season 4

Its like the Island (note how I refer to it as a character), displaces things in order to keep its location a secret from the world. Like it displaced the plane, and maybe it displaced that polar bear. It must be doing a good job because flash-forward Jack is unable to find the island again when he wants to go back. |

And also, if you're as into this as I am, then you've probably heard of the alternative-reality game "Find 815", where some guy calls some other guy, telling him the coordinates for the wreckage of the plane - which leads the other guy to the Sunda Trench, where the wreckage is found. Someone wanted the wreckage to be found, and knew where it was. |
Re: LOST : season 4
In the 4th season of LOST, another part of the Dharma Initiative will be revealed.
How the time travel accident gone awry in this video will tie in with the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 has yet to be explained. But for your own security, I will not say anymore at this sensitive time. |
Re: LOST : season 4
Last night's episode was amazing and Sayid is a stone cold badass.
|
Re: LOST : season 4
Gah! So many questions!
How did Ben rise to power again!? Why does Sayid timidly obey him!? Who exactly are the folks Ben is having Sayid 'take care' of? Why has Locke become such an asshat? When Locke brought iced tea to Sayid and Ben, why didn't Sayid thrash his ass then? |

Re: LOST : season 4
Kate, how could you steal Claire's baby from her?
You know Aaron is not yours! Just like Jack, I no longer love you either! |
Re: LOST : season 4
Quote:
Although it could be something else. Maybe Claire dies, and Kate wants to adopt Aaron (when I think about this option, I certainly wish that the answer is that Kate stole Aaron). Or maybe Aaron's father was actually Kate, who had a sex-change operation after breaking up with Claire. Yeah, think about it. |
Re: LOST : season 4
J.J. Abrams is starting to make this show spiral out of control just like he did with Alias in the fourth season. This upsets me.

You're sabotaging yourself! Quote:
In the court scene with Jack, its stated that only (small number) of people survived the plane crash (which is a lie by the way). Which could mean that Claire is either still on the island, dead, or back in the 'real world' with Kate, Jack, Hurley, etc. They've set it up to make it seem like Kate has stolen baby Aaron but I think as the story matures, we'll actually see that this is not a kidnapping. The only nagging detail that conflicts with this theory is the way Jack declines Kate's offer to go over to her house when they're talking outside the court after the trial. He'd rather go out for coffee and not see or acknowledge Aaron. Which could mean he doesn't approve of Kate having the baby for whatever reason. Or, another possibility the story sets up is that the baby is in fact, Kate's, and Sawyer is the father. As in the episode, we learn that Kate and Sawyer had been questioning whether Kate was pregnant but then she insists in this episode that she's not. Which could be true or a lie. If the baby were Sawyer's, it could offer an explanation as to why Jack doesn't want to go to Kate's home to see him. Although this begs the question: why would Kate name her baby Aaron as well? My theory: now that Kate and Claire are living together in one of Ben's little homes, I think that the time between then and when Kate leaves the island, she probably grew close to Claire and Aaron. And if Claire and Aaron either die, stay on the island, or just go back to Australia; perhaps Kate names her own child Aaron in honor the one on the island she became so attached to? Whew! I just looked at my speculation meter and I'm almost on empty. I better go to the station and fill up... |
Re: LOST : season 4
