probably because its a video game.


why would you look at a movie lightsabre differently then any of the other weapons in the game? my giant sword or ax chops though the guys head, takes half their life bar and they get up and fight more... Perfectly acceptable!
but a lightsabre not acting as perfectly realistic as the movie portrays them? blasphemy!!!



and this is no different from link or spawn being in a soul calibur game... its just simply another character.

Only Link and Spawn looked pretty believable among the other characters.

Seeing Darth Vader walking on carpet looks wrong.

That's where Soul Calibur failed. Bringing outside characters into the Soul Calibur universe. And here I thought Mario Party was the cheapest, gimmicky series of games. Guess I was wrong.

I do. King of Fighters, Street Fighter 3, VF5, Guilty Gear.

Fighting games are very competitive if you have high level players. Best fun!

I agree that they don't belong. It's completely random and awkward mixing of styles.

I enjoyed SC2's console specific characters (Link, Spawn) because they still kind of fit in.

Hell, along with Yoda and Vader, why don't they add in Mega Man and Pikachu and Mr. Spock?

Completely agree. The story has been so purposely overwrought since the first game, adding ridiculous characters fits right in and I like it. Fighting with Yoda? Who seriously isn't excited by that opportunity?
