HTC Dash
Hey GT! Haven't been around here for some time. Just got some internet, but it's not on my computer. The computer dies after 15 mins of use, the fan doesn't turn on. So I'm using a HTC Dash. It's a pretty sweet little phone. I've gotten into Cell Phone Sales.
Just curious anybody ever uses anything but a computer to post on the internet. You know phones, consoles, etc. Because it is very time consuming. What type of phones are you guys using. It's funny over the last 6 months I've been through 5 phones. Here they are: Samsung X495, Moto V365, Moto V3T, BB Pearl, and the HTC Dash. What's the funny part is that I've never paid over $100 for any one and never renewed the contract. |

Re: HTC Dash
I used my PSP a little bit before I sold it. Used the Wii. Have some friends who use T-Mobile Sidekicks.

Re: HTC Dash
I have a sony ericsson w300i, and it does pretty well, and isn't too slow for internet posting. But it all depends on if you have the dictionary thing turned on, and if you're a fast typer, or if you use all abbvs. for everything.

Re: HTC Dash
used PSP, Wii and my phone... I have a Verizon EnV... the flipphone with the qwerty keyboard.
Not much cache for surfing the net, but not horrid. Good for checking emails and stuff. |
Re: HTC Dash
My phone is basically a glorified pocket watch. An old Samsung something or other. Just use comp for web-based stuff.

Re: HTC Dash
I just picked up the Dash, knew about the qwerty keyboard and wifi, just wanted to see how this thing handled on the internet. It does pretty well for a smartphone. Starting to get better at typing. As far as posting with the Wii, that is insane. It takes me 15 minutes just to spell out my Mii's name, let alone trying to type a whole post.
Crash, did you get your hands on new EnV? If not, save your money, Verizon is coming out with a new phone that is supposed compete against the iPhone. I believe it's called the LG Prada. For now I'm stuck using my phone to surf the net. For you guys that have regular cell phones, check out mini.opera.com. Just make sure you have an unlimited data plan before using it. This program will eat kb like they're free. But with this program, your phone will bring up full internet pages (including the pretty pictures). I was using it for the articles on espn, ign, playboy ;) |
Re: HTC Dash
too late, locked in with the EnV - got it in dec.

This little Dash is pretty sweet. Not a game phone by any means, but still sweet. But I haven't had it a week yet, we'll see if i'm still using it in a couple of months. I know it's easier to post with this phone then on the Wii. Any truth of a keyboard coming out for it? |
Re: HTC Dash
Verizon is a horrible company ;)

Re: HTC Dash
I work for T-Mobile, and the Dash is quite the phone. I'm currently waiting for the T-Mobile Wing. It's a badass phone comming out later this month.

Re: HTC Dash
Remember when phones made calls?
Now it's like that's last on the list. "This phone can store up to 60 hours of music, 13 hours of playback, 42 year battery life, come sin blue, pink, green, red, mauve, magenta, it ahs a 14 megasuper pixel camera with a shutter speed that can capture a humminbirds wings in each stroke, you can send a fax, email, voice mail, picture message, text message, video message, surf the internet, customize your browser, download ringtones, record sound, use MS paint, make waffles, colour coordinate your laundry, write notes, it has a calender, it doubles as a watch, it's a valued paper-weight, you can watch TV, record videos and send them to people, receive your house mail, walks the dog, cleans the catbog and works better than oxyclean and CLR combined." "Well....can....can it make calls?" "'Calls'? 'Calls'? What the **** is a 'call'? Hey Jimmy, this guy wants to know if his Protoplazmr 23t100 phone can make calls! What are you living in, 2002? Of course it can't make calls." |
Re: HTC Dash
Yes the Wing is going to be the successor to the MDA. Currently it's not known whether they are going to change the name yet.
