Well, looks better than those previous screens, but still not up to par with the SpaceWorld demo. Yoshi will probably be a saving device/information dispenser/pack changer/or something along those lines. Though there is that Toad...
|
We had sooo better be able to ride Yoshi. I do not want him to give me tons of lives after I beat the game or to save my game or whatever....
I want to ride him and have eat my enemies :mad2: |
Wow. Vast pictures of absolutely nothing. The only picture that looks good is the fourth one.
|
I think we may get to experience some yoshi action...

That "wire" that Mario is balancing on doesn't look like wires. It looks like concrete that bends. (Unless it's just me)
|
What the hell are those things in the sky...Flying Pahrina plants?
Hmmmm...the water and the beach in that second picture look pretty darn good...dont it... *runs away* |

Something looks wrong with Yoshi's left foot there. |

You know wots weird?
I've never had to question a Mario/Zelda game in my life. Except the GC titles. I can't deny that I was disappointed at the new Zelda look (at first),and now seeing Mario screen shots that look above average. Hmm..... Is this NIntendo's way of teasing the public? Whether it be good for sales or not? Well we don't know much about either of these games, but I'm sure they will kick ass somehow  |

Dunno bout Eł, but those Mario pics looked better than the other ones. And the levels look pretty fun too! No pop-up or mist by the way. I know it'll be to play!
|
I am about to make two statements, I understand how people could get the wrong idea from what I am about to say. So, if any dirty minded git gets the wrong idea they git a kick in the nuts.
1. ![]() :mad2: Why is Yoshi posing like a poofter. How dare they go and turn him all queer on us :mad2: 2. You better damn be able to ride Yoshi, I want to ride Yoshi, and hopefully we will see the ruturn of the Yellow Stomping one, the Red Fire Breathing one and the Blue Flying one. |
Well here are the higher res version. Not a giant leap of improvement.

Here is what BAB was trying to post:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But look at these: ![]() ![]() Jaggies! |

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH *runs away* |
*runs after Mush* *comes back* What are jaggies??? (yeah I know I should know:() |
Jaggies are jagged edges. You know, when you can see triangles and stuff.
A round onject is the opposite of a jaggie. |

Ah, so that's what jaggies are! Thanks.
And I think Jin is right. |
High res or low...
Jaggies or no jaggies... I have aabsolutely no interest in this game whatsoever. Mario looks the same, Yoshi looks the same and even Toad looks the same. No more detail besides shadowing a few more polygons and added draw distance. How dull. Let me guess, the main plot will revolve arounf Mario trying to save the Princess or some other unfortunate by bashing a bunch of turtles and jumping from giant mushroom to giant mushroom. Whoopeeeeeeee. At least Metroid Prime looks interesting and Samus hasn't been used to death already, unlike our little illegal immigrant friend. |

Nintendo released the six large (jaggie infested) images. The small ones look better because they were downsized, and then graphically sharpened.
Based on the difference between the large images and the downsized ones, maybe Nintendo should consider making this a GameBoy Advance game. Those screens are nasty. |

2: no Mario game has ever dissapointed you. 3: you know you're gonna play this one. |
1. Oh well, still don't care.
2. Until Mario puts down the water gun and picks up an AK47, all of his games will dissappoint me 3. I won't play this one, just like I never played any of his other games for very long after SMB3 other than Mario Kart. I DON'T LIKE MARIO, GET IT? HE'S CHILDISH AND HOMOGENIZED IMO. But then again seeing as you know what I like better than I do, maybe I'm completely wrong about my own opinion... WHAT? |
Quote:
Whatever im bad at getting my point across but you dont like games for their gameplay but like em for their purty graphics. Quote:
Ok i went and checked the defenition for homogenized and well.... TRANSITIVE VERB 1. To make homogeneous. 2. a. To reduce to particles and disperse throughout a fluid. b. To make uniform in consistency, especially to render (milk) uniform in consistency by emulsifying the fat content. INTRANSITIVE VERB To become homogenized. How is Mario homogenized? |

*sips homogenized milk* eghhh creamy |
If you don't know the social definition of homogenized, I'm not going to bother to tell you...
hint... check out the "to make uniform in consistency" part of your definition... Why is everyone so mad that I don't like Mario? I don't like silly cutesy kids games anymore. Thats it. Deal with it. If you like them, fine. I don't give a rat's ass. I was giving my 25 year old opinion of the Mario franchise, after having played it out. If you don't like it, tough. If you like Mario, talk about how much you like Mario. Telling me how dumb I am for not liking him doesn't score you any points in an educated conversation. |
Wow, you people need to start carrying around dictionaries or actually using the things.
What Strangler was trying to say (even if I disagree with it) is that Mario games are all similar. If you don't know homogenized is to make uniform like stated in one of the definition. If you want an example of a homogenizied product look at some milk cartons. The stuff you learn when you are forced to take Home Econmics, |
I think that all of the Mario Sunshine pics have been disappointing, but I still think that I will try the game. I do not know, however, that I will buy a GCN because of it. I guess I'll have to play it first to get a full impression.
But..... First impressions last.... |
The killer apps that are making me buy a Gamecube are WMX8 and Resident Evil. At first the idea of replaying Res Evil with better graphics wasn't all that great to me, after reading about the other additions plus seeing some of the absolute chillingly detailed screens I consider it a must buy.
After comparing the SMS and Res Evil screens, I think Nintendo should be ashamed they couldn't do better than that. |
Hmm here are two more screens:
![]() ![]() |
I have to say that the water effects from Mario's gun do look very nice, even if the rest of the screen looks lackluster.
|
The screens are just getting better! The water looks kinda good. And the environments in the second pic are pretty good...
|
Two more screens
![]() ![]() |
K those last 2 screens are pretty good. Didnt Nintendo say something like all the screens they are showing us are still using the old Super Mario 64 textures. Maybe thats the reason most of the screens look bad. They also dont look like they are anti-aliased.... it will probably look a lot better by the time it comes out.
OOORRRRRRR maybe they're just showing us bad screens and really it doesnt look like that and they want us to be blown away by the game when we actually see it :D Dont tell my im in denial bout how bad these pics are ;) |
