Got it at Target this morning (walmart filled up by the time we got there). Haven't gotten to Zelda yet but Wii Sports is surprisingly fun so far.

My friends little brother got one today.
He only wants to get need for speed carbon.
That defeats the basic purpose of also buying a special controller-ma-bob.

I got one this morning, all it took was a 5 hour wait in the (near) freezing cold... Got there around 3AM (ended up being 12th in line), store opened at 8 (handed out tickets at 7)... I'd say the line didn't reach sell-out capacity (they had 69 units in stock) until around 6-6:30 or so, but there were definately a lot of people lined up (and attempting to line up) by 7...

I just picked up Zelda for now, but I decided to first create a Mii and set up the internet connection settings... And now that I've done that, it's updating itself... Slowly...

Plus the Redskins are on with their new quarterback :sneaky:

So I'll get to the games later on... I kinda wanna pick up SMB (havn't played any of the previous games before) and maybe Excite Truck eventually...

Edit: For the record, one of the few stores around here that had a midnight launch (Toys r Us in the next county over) apparently had about a hundred people in line by around 6, and double that by 11...

My Gamestop had a midnight opening, so I took my brother to that. They went in order of preorders (I was first) so that was nice. I snagged my Wii, Zelda, Rayman Raving Rabbids, 2,000 Wii Points, and an extra Wii-mote and Nun-Chuck.

I read in a review that there was a way to turn this little speaker on the controller off, but I can't seem to find it in any of the Zelda or Wii setting options...

Which is unfortunate seeing as how the speaker is completely pointless, and tends to sound more like it's blaring static than any actual sound...

Hit the home button while in zelda, go down to the Remote control thing, and you can turn off the volume from there (or make it really low)

I stood for five hours outside futureshop with my girlfriend and got one with Zelda.

It's pretty much amazing. Her whole family loved it!

Theres a few stores that have a million. Seen ones with 210 and 140. Just have to call around.

As for friends, you have to go to the address book, get your Wii number. You both need to add it, and then you can be friends and exchange Miis and send messages... for now.

getting error codes: 32002 and 32004 when trying to "update" the online service. Nintendo said it means it's their server. BUT THIS SUCKS!!!!!

APPARENTLY, a friend of a friend said that this homeless-looking guy walked up to people in line and said "hey kids...I'll show you MY Wii". I know it sounds like a cheap joke but apparently this actually happened.

I got a million dollar questiones You fellows know when the next shipment is supposed to hit stores and what retailer(cdn) i should try to preorder with cuz stores like ebgames are backed way the muck up and I have mono which means I need a wii cuz i'm supa bored.

Nobody ever knows when the next shipment so you'll have to keep checking.

Surprisingly, places like blockbuster and rogers video will get them. But the big box stores get the most so stick to those.

it depends on the area. i walked into a store today and there was a handfull still on the shelf.

but we have a LOT of electronic and game stores here.

I pulled Dragon Warrior for NES off the shelf a couple years back, only to discover that your character's name can only have 5 letters, "Nathan" of course having 6...
