Challenge#2: Pass the Baton
 

Challenge#2: Wednesday 8:00pm CST

Drake Tribe now gets a look at the new Cook Tribe minus a member - Krypton, voted out at tribal council.

Let's get right on to the next challenge. The tribes will compete in a track and field competition called "Pass the Baton." As before you need at least 4 people to play. Unlike last time you must designate the specific person who will post after you. The first member will grab a baton and pass it to another member, who will pass it to another member and so forth. Only the person who you pass your baton to may grab it. If the person you pass it to isn't here you can pass it to someone else instead. The postings might look like this:

"Survivor A grabs baton and passes to Survivor B"
"Survivor B takes baton from Survivor A and passes to Survivor C"
then C passes to D, and D passes back to A. This completes one cycle. You must complete 3 cycles to win. As before the same survivor cannot go more than once every four turns. So here's what your post structure will look like:

A-B-C-D-A-B-C-D-A-B-C-D-A for a total of 13 posts.

Please post a thread for your tribe in this forum when you are ready to begin the challange. You can start at 8pm CST but not before. Make the thread something identifiable like "Cook Tribe Challenge#2 thread." Let me know if there are any questions.

Drake Tribe will be looking for the 2nd half of the treasure story while the Cook tribe will be looking for the 1st.

So wait a second...this time, we dont technically need to start right at 8PM? We could start at like 8:15 and still win even if the other tribe starts at 8 on the dot, but we get ours done faster? Did I read that right?

Can we post the thread now before we start the challenge so we can have it ready, like we did for the first challenge? Or does the first post in the thread have to be included in the baton race?

just to confirm...we can start the challenge say after the first tribe has finished...and if we finish the challenge in 2 minutes and finished it in 3, do we win, or does the tribe that finishes first win?

I think there is some confusion, the first tribe to complete the challenge wins.

I thought you meant the other tribe starts first but you go faster and finish first, not that they have already finished by the time you start. Both tribes need to start the challenge immediately. The first tribe that completes the challenge wins.

Yeah I've been considering that, only problem is it doesn't give people much time to vote. In the past people have gotten upset when challenges are too close together. If everyone can agree to vote promptly after the conclusion of a challenge then we can do that.

As far as this challenge goes, you might as well start even if you only have a couple people present. The first tribe to complete the challenge wins, it doesn't matter how long it takes you or who starts first. When your tribemates log on later they can continue the challenge. Time to complete the challenge expires at 9pm CST tomorrow (Thursday).
