Your dream job

What is it?

Whats the one (but not limited to one) job you would kill to have?

Personally, Mine would either be a Singer in a band, or someone who writes the songs. Or writing poetry "professionally" since I havent once been told I suck at poetry. Then again I can see people not wanting to hurt feelings.

Anyways, more realistically, I would like something with Geography, or Astronomy, considering those are the only two real school subjects (Besides English) that interested me to no end.

Enough of me, what about you?

Yeah, probably a musician. The classical-instrument band scene is really dying right now, though, and it's really hard to make any money now. I would have about the same level of activity in bands if I did what I actually want to do:

Works on forums exclusively. I certainly have the experience.

Lead guitar and lead singer in a rock and roll trio.

I'm pretty much living my dream job. If I can continue to play in band with 5 of my best friends (one being my brother) and be successful, then I will be a happy person.

If I could do some writing on the side it would make me a bit happier, but it's pretty good right now.

Germy reminded me that I want to be a writer.

My English teacher said I was one of the single best writers he's seen, and If I keep it up I could have a career with it.

I think that was just because I was good on my knees.

Who knows.

Yeah, my English teacher once told me the same thing, that I could "have a career" with it if I kept with it...Well, maybe it's true, we'll see.

Something to do with music. Maybe a session musician or just one of the guys in the band.

Actually, working at EB may not be as cracked up as it looks to be. You have to handle more idiot customers than you can imagine.

To each his own. Some people like interacting with idiots all day. And most of the people that are really into games are either creepy or quiet. It's not like every customer is a smooth transaction. Seriously, people or parents will walk up to you and ask to buy a "gamebox." And then you have to start recommending games. Recommending games is probably one of the harder parts, because out of a batch of $14.99 ones, what are the chances you've played Big Mutha Truckers, or some other no-name game?

I would rather not merge my hobby and my work at this point in my life. It took me a lot of years to figure that out.

I actually would have fun at EB if I worked their. Dealing with idiots can be amusing.

Something involving psychology. Working for a huge corporation on finding out which colors and what shapes sell better than others in commercials seems like fun.

Realistically I like to be President of my own electronic entertainment empire... and I'm actually working on it. I have a good bit of my business plan finished, which I will not go into on an open forum, and I'm also currently scouting out venture capitalists.

I will say this... EB will not know what hit it if my chain gets off the ground.

I was thinking about this question today at work and I've resolved that if it involves Basketball and pays well, I'll enjoy it. Maybe a sports psychologist would be something I'd dabble in.

I'd love to work for National Geography as a photographer or one of those crazy scientists you see chasing after everything, from lightning to crocs. I'm doing a Zoology subject at the moment and could easily major in that just by signing a couple of forms.

Thing is, as the eldest child from an Asian family who has invested the whole family's fortune in my education, my mom will die if I tell her all the money she spent went into a degree where all I do is "perch on top of a tree all day to catch birds" (in her own words).

:(

you mean astro"nomy", unless you want to tell peoples fortune from a space satellite and then transmit them to earth.

Actually thats pretty cool.

As for the EB job, i've been in the throws of being hired...they told me they don't need staff for the next 3 - 4 weeks, but i'm first on their list when the holiday season comes in full swing, so i guess i'll figure it out for myself.
