New Zelda Info
"- The story begins with Link as an adult (he is 16 years old in this game and will grow up as the game progresses)
- The village that appears in the pics is the first area in the game (as Kokiri Village in OoT) - Controls are similar to those of OoT and Wind Waker - The game's extension is 2 to 3 times bigger than Ocarina of Time - The adventure can last up to 70 hours - Horse battles will be a main part of the game - Eiji Aonuma says: "Making the water trasparent in this new Zelda as opossed to Wind Waker will allow us to give a realistic and more beautiful feel to the game and also open the game to a new subaquactic world" - Z targetting found in OoT is again used (with the L button in the GC's controller) - Jumping is again automatic - Eiji Aonuma wants the graphical style to be close to manga-style (he thinks that the Link found in the SpaceWorld 2000 demo looked like a puppet and lacked personality)" ![]() ![]() ![]() Stolen from Gaming-Age or Modojo, not sure who had it first. |
Re: New Zelda Info
Whoa...
Its mine as soon as it comes out... (Here comes the tag team...) |
Re: New Zelda Info
*searches for the pics*
Edit: where's your source? Were those new pics? Can't find anything. |
Re: New Zelda Info
if anyone thinks this will definitely take a stronghold against the unveiling of X360 and PS3 then your nuts..
if you think this game will be awesome and will definitely pick it up when it comes out... then your good to go. |
Re: New Zelda Info
Did anyone notice that the "Young" Link there kinda look like the Link in WW?
And Kyuzo, youre funny... |
Re: New Zelda Info
Here we go, thanks to Kwisatz Haderach from www.vandal.net and the person at GA who provided the link to the link

looks good. i'll take one :)

Re: New Zelda Info
Ugh, the human faces look terrible...especially those children, I love how their eyes follow Link but they're heads don't, creepy little things. I hope I'll have the option to remove their heads with a 360 degree sword spin.
And as for Link...well, let's just say he must have been given birth to by Falco and Elrond, leading to the construction of an awful looking face as is apparent in the above screens. All he's missing are a beak, feathers, and some mystical clothing.. All I can say is those horse battles better be fun, the success of this game appears to have very little else to ride on. |
Re: New Zelda Info
Is Link wearing a toga in some of those screens?

Damnit, I can't see any of the screens.
|
Re: New Zelda Info
Me either...
And Kyuzo: shut up. Until someone actually claims that Zelda will still steam from Microsoft or Sony, don't try to argue against it. You just make yourself look like a stupid fanboy. /me shrugs and walks away |
Re: New Zelda Info
Hopefully these pics will last. Translations follow.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Translations: image 1 - Link will start the game has an adult (has opposed to a little kid) and will mature throughout the adventure. (so its not necessarily getting older throughout the game has some sources indicated) image 2 - the game will be 2 to 3 times bigger (it doesnt specify if its game hours or area) image 3 - Zelda will have a look like the ones on manga drawings (not really sure what they meant with this) image 4 - Zeldas new "adult" look image 5 - What well make in the game: taking care of cows (okay its not necessarily only cows but i cant recall a similar word in english), solving puzzles, fight bosses... rest of the article is cut-off image 6 article cut-off image 7 The new zelda: It will have an unfolding with lots of combat, adventure, exploration and presumably mini-games. image 8 - 9 Nothing. Hobby Consolas is the name of the mag. image 10 - the tight graphics the game will offer will be impressive. Backgrounds and characters will have a level of detail never before seen in a console. image 11 - the battles will again be in real time, beeing very dynamic and fun. (rest is cut-off) image 12 nothing image 13 - the humor sense "made in Nintendo" will be present and we will laph a lot with situation such has this. |

Re: New Zelda Info
So far things WW has over the new game:
- Lobster shirt beats farmgirl clothing hands down. - Snot-nosed kid over little plastic looking children of the corn. Looks very Japanese inspired. And those cows...man, gonna have fun tormenting those cows. They look more fun than the pigs... But a farm with no cuccos makes me sad. Really glad there's gonna be humor is this game. Thought they were just gonna do some serious realistic blah blah LOTR rip game... But looks very promising. |
Re: New Zelda Info
:eek3: must...... own..... that..... POSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this thread!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Link looks like a sissy in those Japanese clothes. :p Edit: Dan, didn't you see the Cucco?? |
Re: New Zelda Info
AH, missed that. Whoa...ultra realistic cock. Wonder if they still gang rape Link.
|
Re: New Zelda Info
I wonder if cows can gang-rape Link.
That would be ****ing awesome! |
Re: New Zelda Info
Whoa, look at his hand in the lowest pic! :D
![]() And Dyne, why do I never come up with putting cool images in my avatar? :( Edit: if I'd had to guess, I'd say he was a girl in the pic above.... my fiancee also thought Link was a girl the first time she saw him. |
Re: New Zelda Info

Well, Link IS an elf after all, just like girly-boy Legolas. No wonder Tingle is so interested in him.. :sneaky: |
Re: New Zelda Info
And the screens are gone again. :D Luckily I saved them to my HD.
Aaaaaah this game will be great. |
Re: New Zelda Info
Well, they still appear for me, but I saved them anyways.
You know how nice it is to talk about a GAME for once rather than arguing about consoles? I love this thread. <33 So... 70 hours of gameplay? Do you think that's going to be like over ten dungeons? :D I know they had two almost-done dungeons from Wind Waker, so transferring over couldn't have been hard. |

Alright, break it up, break it up. Opinions are fine, but please deliver them in a constructive manner. None of us are a finished product. During the jounrey of growth and understanding we will all make mistakes sometimes. In the future, please try to be more kind. I'm going to save these pictures too and upload them to my Comcast space. +rep to Danchastu for the great references to the creepy looking kids. :D |

And this game is still months away :p BUT HERE'S HOPING FOR GOOD LONG FUN!! |
Re: New Zelda Info

Ok, seventy hours. Halve that, and you get the numbers the reviewers say it is. Subtract 10, and you have a good estimate of how much I'll play it. 25 hours for an adventure game is really, really good. And I always beat Zeldas at least twice. Yum. |
Re: New Zelda Info
If its anything near the length of OOT I'll be pretty damn impressed.
|
Re: New Zelda Info
Phil, I call dibs on the game, and your GC when you beat it.
Be a pal. I'll pay you in denairo. Or L'argent. Whichever you prefer. |
Re: New Zelda Info
10 hours for the actual game. 60 for finding all those triforce shards.
Interesting observation: It does not appear that any of the villagers have pointed ears. So Link may be an outsider. Whereas in WW everyone did no matter their race. And about the cucco gang rape...I found this on the IGN boards: ![]() |
Re: New Zelda Info
I want this game so much. Sadly, I probably won't get to play it when it finally comes out. Is winter 2005 the possible release time?
|
Re: New Zelda Info
Sounds good. I think I'll buy a GC just to play this game.
|
Re: New Zelda Info
Quote:
I didn't mind the graphics that much in TWW, the gameplay was just very poor. :) |
Re: New Zelda Info
I enjoyed the gameplay very much...more so than Oot. I guess I wasn't really bothered by finding the shards since I it did it between side quests instead of trying to do it all at once.
|
Re: New Zelda Info
Sidequest? :eyes: You don't mean the photo's I hope? :green: I didn't enjoy the sidequests either... they were pretty vague IMO.
But let's stop whining about Zelda games, they're all great. :D Edit: Have I mentioned the cool art work? It's purdy!!!!! I just don't get 1 thing..... on 1 of those pages you see the left half of Link.... so where's the right half? |
Re: New Zelda Info
Naw, only did the photos my second time through. I mean finding all the great fairies, killing all the giant squids, the cannon ball game, finding heart pieces and other treasures, Goron trading, etc.
And yeah, it does appear that a page is missing...who knows what marvelous things exist on it. |
Re: New Zelda Info
Ugh... the only who misconceive my notions are Nintendo/Zelda extremists....
+rep GM for taking it as a joke, and not at face value. They totally overlooked the fact that I actually complimented the game, and added to the value of this thread.... |
